:) just what i felt that is all - (it is a tough job but somebody has
to do it)

There is a difference between tough love and just being tough or
displaying prowess or power or knowledge. The intentionality is the key. I
have had all of the tough love that i could take and those words were used
by my family when they threw me into a mental hospital because of k
awakening -
"you never understood tough love" my mother said - i understand plenty - i
understood the intention

i think most people intuitively feel the difference emanating from the
posts - as has been discussed many times on the list, we read between and
under the words - many times imperfectly - but we are k - that is what we
do - there are many flare-ups due to reading the underlying message and
calling someone on it - did so - did not - and on it goes - who is calling
who on what - the surface words keep on reflecting; the message's soul
absorbs all

yes perhaps I need a gentler list - are there any that are not wrapped
up in some religious mumbo-jumbo?

I appreciate Angelique's unique wisdom - and sometimes I may ask for a
whipping - however that is not my thing and although am meek i do not bow
down to goddess in any form.

My voice is not usually kind, although perhaps it is unique -

Yes, Hillary should be recognized as co-moderator and she is ever on the
watch to provide compassion and comforting words to the new posters,
delivered with no sting. And she polls us all, to keep us honest and to try
to further the understanding of k. Hillary is a blessing.

Nor would I -
Since fluff does not make anything better - and i certainly do not mind
the honest guts that are shown on the list - nor the flare-ups that are
inevitable when working through issues.
Perhaps though i hate the wolfs hiding in sheep's clothing -
unfortunately, for the fairy tale to be complete they too must occasionally
be present.

Well, the list changes and morphs into whatever it needs to be at the
time - or least that is how i perceive it, having been somewhat on and off
the list over a few years, and remembering another voice from the past
saying a similar thought. It is also just my general perception that the li
st seems less welcoming to newbies than it once was. But it is what it
needs to be - whatever that says.

Also i am only looking at a narrow window which is probably not
representative. So, no need to get your dander up, or come to the defense
of the list - if we are not allowed to voice a general dissenting impression
than indeed the list is a pretty tame place. But i have, so it is not.
