Mark me for a yes on this one, but I would suggest a long break.

No on this one. The posts would still be in my mail bin staring at me.
And you don't know if something has offended you until after you've read
it (CWs posts aren't intense enough to be offensive, they're more
irritatingly sterile and repetitive).

I'm neutral on this. I don't know if he's caused any real trouble. I
actually kind of like him.... but as a person (whoever that might be
behind the computer screen) not a teacher. I would give him the benefit
of the doubt and think that he's capable of moderating himself.

By the way Chris, if you're reading this, I'm going to respond to your
post "Kids and Guns..." I was upset that you threw that title on. Maybe
things are different in Tasmania, but here it would seem like you're out
of touch.

Couple weeks ago, a very nice young fellow (my friend's cousin) was
supposed to help out at the metaphysical book shop were I have my
morning job. He never showed up. A couple nights before he was parking
his car and some young gang bangers pulled him out, took his money...
then held him to the ground and shot him in the back. They drove off in
his car. He staggered to a nearby restaurant, asked if he could call his
mother... then dropped dead on the floor.

I'm sure the gang bangers would love your theories. They could just tell
the judge "It's not my fault! My bad therapy and my parent's DNA made me
do it!" Personally, I don't need to hear that crap anymore.

People (teenagers are people, too) have brains... they know the
difference between right and wrong.

I'm also very tired of your parent bashing. Sure, a lot of long term
damage can be done by abusive mothers and fathers, but there's a more
serious problem going on among our youth (especially in the inner city).
It is a *lack* of parenting... *any* parenting... good or bad. Take a
stroll through a section 8 housing project and check it out. There's
some real work that needs be done and real help and love that needs to
be given.

Speaking for myself, I'm very grateful for the childhood that has made
me who I am today. My mother and father worked hard and did the best
they could. No, they weren't "perfect parents," but they loved us in the
best way they knew how and would have laid down their lives for us.

Christopher - I LIKE MY DNA - o.k.? Even if it's a little weather beaten
by the by the long, rocky road of human history, it's the only DNA I
have and I'm going to make the best of it.

Got run and get a paper. The weekend's coming up and the show listings
come out today... it's nice to beat the crowds.

By the way, tomorrow is the third anniversary of my awakening... I'll be
posting something.

To Chris, Fiona and Everyone on the List... I Bow,

   Paul
