On 2001/03/18 18:56, v posted thus to the K-list:

well Wim,
you know this whole thing started when I responded to that McDonald's urban
legend thing that you posted, and just because I had read it so many many
times over the years. He lambasted me for being "cold and unfeeling" because
of that, and now I can't even have a little humor when I come home in the
middle of the night.
I really didn't mean anything by either of these posts, I really wasn't
even thinking about it. I've been on this forum since circa 1995, and have
never had so much trouble with just my occasional commentary. Sure - it's not
high falutin' spiritual teachings being channelled from the muses or the space
aliens, but it's just me - my thoughts.
Maybe people don't really realize the physical "slap in the face" feelings
that come when somebody takes something you say WAY WAY out of context, and
chastises (aka "flames") you for pages and pages - publically. But it really
doesn't make you feel too good about yourself, and why bother to do it anyway,
about such penny ante and superficial type commentaries???

Now, I am not of the school of "behavioural psychology", ironically enough.
I am a *humanitarian*. And - au contraire to what S.G. has accused me of, my
heart is way too big. I am an empath and very over-sensitive already. So, for
someone whom I don't even know, to get ON my case like this, over NOTHING, and
make a big case about it, and TELL me how I am and who I am in a very negative
fashion, is beyond my comprehension! He's treating me like one of Skinner's
rats, telling me when to salivate, and when I do, hyper-analyzing me beyond
the point that even people who *know* me should be allowed to advise me about!
And publically!

So, maybe S.G. is really "okay", but has yet to treat me with the respect
that I deserve. And - yes. He has hurt my feelings, which is stupid, because I
don't even know him either.

pax,
valerie
