Subject: [K-list] Re: Hyper-reactions!

I wondered whether I should contribute anymore to this thread because
I was probably hands down the biggest offender if anyone wants to
pass judgment...;> and probably judged to be the most violent, if
anybody is making a record.

But making judgements and acting on those judgements no longer
bothers me. There is no sting anymore, no guilt, no remorse...only
sadness because someone has chosen to persist in a way that harms
others. It is funny. I don't do these things when someone is harming
themselves. Then kindness rules the day and I have infinite patience.
Perhaps someday there will be no sadness and only empathy remains.

But as someone observed, when in psychosis, neither kindness or
discipline necessarily makes a difference. Only time can.Or maybe
some medication?

My question though then is for the observers. Do you feel that sting?
Is it anger, embarassment, shame....what is it that makes us jump up
to justify how we feel about what we perceive? It is usually a parent
thing which points to an unhealed wound in our psyche. Events such
as these help us heal the wounded parts in ourselves.

Talking about it faciliates healing.

I wonder if that is what healing is all about. Healing ourselves
first before we try to fix others. I am guilty of that...trying to
fix others before my own wounds are healed. Sheesh...everytime I turn
around I find a new wound. It's like unpeeling layers of onions.

You are right Ashok...when people complain or express negativity, a
chemical reaction starts in our body. This affects our immune system,
ulitmately depressing it. It also affects those who hear the
complaining and the negativity. That's why using a delete button can
be healthy thing to do. That is why I choose to see perfection, even
when swinging a 2x4. I could be confused about this, but for some
reason I don't think so.But I am still learning...

With love,
Susan
