Dear Elsbeth,

Great question! :)) The main thing to do is try to calm their fears (both
those that are stated and those unstated). Give them a book or two to read.
Lee Sannella's book is a good one. Or Bonnie Greenwell's.

Your family and friends will probably be most afraid of *Change*--change in
*you* and change in how you relate to each of them. And some change is
probably inevitable! :)) But the change will be positive whether they
initially recognize it or not. You are going through something absolutely
extraordinary. Reassure them that It is a *positive* not negative force.

My husband was at first bewildered. He wanted me to "stop" it! LOLOL I tried
to explain that first of all it was very unlikely that I could, but that in
no way did I want to. It was all too amazing and I was too curious as to
what was next in store--where it all would lead!

Suggest to them that it is important for them to be supportive--perhaps they
could help you out with more of the household chores. ;) You will be
somewhat preoccupied--both with the energy itself and in spending hours
trying to find out more about it by reading and research and on lists! :))
You may lose some friends, and you will probably make a number of new ones!
Fortunately I had very supportive friends--two of whom knew of this energy
first hand, and I also had supportive sisters (although one said it was
probably high blood pressure! LOL)

My husband, over 4 years later, is now very supportive. He even reminds me
on occasion when it's past time to do my Hatha Yoga. But there have been
many changes. I am a good deal more independent now, and that caused
friction at first, but I think it's somewhat a relief to him now. :))

Hope this helps.

Love, Hillary
