Hello John,

What Christopher suggested is also what I and many others here would
suggest. Trees, earth, water, physical movement.... very basic, but it
works.

My own process of awakening was different in that it was spontaneous. I
wasn't seeking it out (consciously, at least). It came in one
unexpected, sudden blast. Since I didn't know what happened to me (other
than feeling that it was something spiritual and was some sort of
process of change), it caused periods of psychic emergency... like when
a person takes too much LSD and gets a little too excited about their
global vision.

I didn't have the benefit of this community at the time, but a local
Wiccan lady did give me some good advice as Christopher and Kaiki have.

I personally don't feel the need to meditate anymore. I'm not saying
I've attained some lofty state of "enlightenment" or that I'm better
than anyone else. Simply, Goddess gave me what I needed... and turning
to see that it was what I've always had in the first place, it is now
more than I expected. Do you know what I mean?

Sometimes I feel that I'm among the more fortunate ones on this list.
I've come to really enjoy life. So many old issues and "baggage" have
melted away (I still have aversions regarding 70s disco B sides and pink
Hawaiian shirts... somebody please help!) and I feel relaxed and at home
in this world.

The growing pains it took to get to the *here and now* from the *there
and then* were exactly what I needed and I can't see it doing any good
to repeat them. From what I read on this list, it might even be
dangerous. You might say the Serpent and I have gained a sort of mutual
respect and Shakti doesn't need me to tempt Her. (but this begs the
question: Is K a respecter of persons or is it a kind of lightening that
selects its own time and place?).

I'm not one to comment on willful Kundalini awakening through meditation
as it wasn't my path to get here. But I do feel that you have wonderful
children, friends and family in our life and I think your love and
consideration will guide you in the quickness of your steps.

True, he's not going crazy.

That's *my* job!
