Dear Catherine,

Well, this certainly sounds like classic Kundalini to me!

Often I'll get "rushes" while watching TV --not infrequently, oddly enough,
violence. I think it may have something to do with the deep relaxation that
often accompanies watching, but your friend's explanation of being triggered
by battles between good and evil makes sense to me. :)).

Spontaneous awakenings happen more frequently than one would think. A fairly
large number of things seem to trigger them. He is beginning an *extremely*
interesting journey. The main advice I would give is to be sure not to try
to fight it, and try not to be frightened by it. Kundalini is *intelligent*
energy. And it's purpose is a positive one--though it's hard sometimes to
understand what that purpose is. I suspect he will be wanting to do a lot of
reading and exploring himself if he isn't already doing so! It is
sometimes difficult for the partners to adjust to the sometimes dramatic
changes that can occur. Try to continue to be patient and supportive!

Love, Hillary
