False.
Bush knew that the Florida vote was within a 0.5% margin and therefore
subject to a recount by law.

He attempted to claim (wrongfully & illegally) that he was prez.

Bush would assume the presidency under any circumstances.
(illegal or not)

Jerry, I have never voted until this election.
Why?

Because it always seems that I have been presented with a *choice* between dog food & squid.

I voted for Nader. But I am in CT and could afford to. Had I lived in Florida or any
of the other swing states I would have dragged my ass to the booth for the first time
in my life & voted for Gore (as the lesser of 2 evils).

I agree with your perspective that Nader was disingenuous when he painted Gore
as a near equal of 2 evils. (Gore is less evil)

But...

The voter turnout sux in this country, because to so many of us it seems like a choice
between dog food & squid.

Nader is thinking long-term. Which is the only term any *real* change can ever
occur.

Otherwise, election year, after election year, we will continue to be presented with the
option of what color of wall-paper in our prison to have.

This whole system is corrupt and will not be overturned in one night. (unfortunately)

2 great things have occurred in this election year.

1. More folks will vote in the future,

and more importantly

2. We may have a *real* choice at the the ballot for the first time.
