I fully agree that esoteric knowledge should not be held back inside the
walls of cliquey societies with conditional membership and contents control
employing hierarchic or peer policing structures. That is probably the
reason why I can write openly about all the stuff I have gone through. To be
sure this list has helped me greatly in communicating from that mystic core
of mine. By the way, Mark Stavish's website is also very open, the
Rosicrucian background in no way limits his open and lucid writing. Too bad
there is so much "specialized" terminology in the rituals and exercises that
are described. But I guess that cannot be helped.

Again you are right, your choice of words: "understanding the way xxx works"
parallels my frequent use of the words "understanding the dynamics of xxx"
very well. That kind of understanding always starts with detailed
descriptions, the understanding then follows self-evidently: "It speaks for
itself". *Explanations* are often superfluous, in fact they could be
downright disturbing, leading away from the dynamics and directness of the
experience, replacing it with the argumentative characteristics of
polemics.

A good way to recover and surrender to the mystical and the mysterious is to
allow oneself to slumber and drowse..., dreaming away in that semi-conscious
state of the hypna-gogic, those few moments just before one falls asleep and
those half awake minutes between the first and second ring of the alarm
clock. This state is characterized by a sleepy and dreamy sweetness...
Become aware of the halftones of semi-conscious vision, the slow motion
sheen of enlightening mind pictures... One can also become aware of audible
wafts of verbalization.

Much love Hillary,
Wim
