i think we are talking about 2 different kinds of Awakening here... Holly
seems to be talking about Kundalini-Awakening... this is when the Serpent
in the Root Chakra first awakens, and Shakti begins to flow... this can
certainly happen spontaneously and instantaneously... the Kundalini-Gateway
and Shared Transformation websites have numerous personal stories of such
Awakenings...

this kind of Kundalini-Awakening is the beginning of a process, but does not
mean that a person is Fully Enlightened, attained Christ Consciousness, or
whatever term one wants to use for becoming completely, consciously and
permanently at One with Divinity... in fact, a person often becomes
extremely deluded with Kundalini psychosis at this point when the Serpent
begins to rise... that is what happened to me when my Kundalini had first
awakened...

this second type of enlightenment seems to be what Mark Stavish is speaking
about... i have only heard tales of people attaining this, and i suspect
that most folks who would claim to have attained this state are probably
slightly deluded, although partially correct... folks in the state of
Kundalini psychosis often mistake the first type of Awakening for the second
type... this is also what happened to me...

eventually i became better grounded with a deeper understanding of what is
occurring... the way that i currently understand myself and my experience,
is that my Kundalini is awakened... and my Divinity Within is still mostly
sleeping with some brief moments of partially waking up... but i am now
constantly aware of what is sleeping within me...

warmly,

percyval
