I would appreciate any other artists that have helped you. Music is
powerful for me. I remember someone also suggested Kate Bush. Anyway I
just needed to "decloak" & speak my truth to you all....THANK YOU! >>

Music is very very important to me too......Sarah McLaughlin though is too rocky for me. As you perhaps can imagine music and what it touches in you and HOW it affects you is VERY subjective and personal.I had a spiritual bookstore for a while with lots of music and during this time i learned a lot about music and how it affects people and how differently it affects people. When i had drums on the player the " traditional" kind of new age people were disgusted...LOLOL....... how could i dare to play music that affects the LOWER chakras in a spiritual bookstore????????? ROFL :-)))
when i played this so called "meditation music" , this ocean waves with harp and behappyforever holiness lots of people - including myself - got REALLY aggressive after a while.
What my experience is: to center and calm the chakras: the simpler and the authentically the better, for example: Tibetan bells or gongs, single flute, overtone singing, piano solo. In my view it's very important to have the music "organic" that means natural instruments. Grounding and letting go of energy: drums and here too: organic and pure if possible. From there on all variations..... if you can stand her intensity Gabrielle Roth is a very good musician/therapist/dancer and has lots of cds/tapes on the market.
I personally react very strongly on voices. The soprano Barbara Hendricks for example. For me she is the one with the deepest love in her voice. She has a cd with Sacred Aries........
Does somebody know the music of Taize ?( my American keyboard has no accents, sorry). It's actually a Christian community in France and they sing more or less a cappella mantras in several languages.....Thousands of mainly young people from all over the world go there in summer and do more or less nothing but singing and celebrating whatever they believe in....:-)
it was one of the very few cds i always could play in the shop without offending somebody or chasing somebody out of the store......:-)....don't know whether you can get it in America though.....
i could go on and on, but i think.....i'm talkative enough these days.....LOLOL
" music was my first LOVE and it will be my last......"....:-))
love and laughter
