  Yes.

 Hmm.. spoken like a novice..:)
There is a chinese curse that goes, "May you clear all of your karma by
next week and become enlightened".. it is a curse because most people would
not
survive all of their karma coming up in a week. Faster is not necessarily
better, not when it comes to K. The human mind is a delicate organism. Some
folks do go crazy with K., and it most often happens when folks try to rush
the
process. Kundalini brings up every unresolved issue and memory to be released,
not just from this lifetime, but from past lives and heredity, and if you
bring
up too much stuff all at once you will become unbalanced. Trying to rush the
process can land you in your worst nightmare.
By the time K. is done with you, every single idea you had about who you
are, every cherished belief, or truth that you hold, has come up to be
cleared,
and rewritten, until "you" as an individual no longer exist.

The speed at which K. processes depends on the individual's ability to
surrender old ideas and beliefs.
You must understand, Kundalini is cosmic consciousness, it is the most
powerful force in the universe, and the path of K. is to surrender to that.
Trying to rush through it is resistance, and resistance causes pain and
misery... and sometimes, insanity. Chi, or Prana can be manipulated. K.
cannot. It has it's own intelligence, and it will outwit you.

The other types of Yoga use Chi/prana to effect healing and growth.. life
energy that can be manipulated by human minds and activities.. Goddess Shakti,
the Kundalini is mastered by no-one. The ego that wants to control, is the ego
that is dismantled by this energy.

I think your approach is interesting, but possibly misguided. Many
awakened people, myself included, are granted some healing power by K. Using
the healing power to repair some of the mental damage might be possible,
but it
would depend on the individual.
From a wider perspecitive, there are no accidents. All is Divine Will, and
limited intellectual capacity is sometimes a soul-choice. These individuals
call upon your compassion, and sometimes that is their purpose in incarnating.
That may seem like a harsh view, but your definition of hell, is all about
who you are. Part of your ego-beliefs. Many retarded people, are very happy
with who they are, it is the external judgments of others, that cause them
pain.

>
> (Or would it leave the retarded person in a state of confusion and
anxiety?)

Possibly. It is quite likely that a lot of them are already awakened..
limited capacity for intelligence also suggests limited ability to form the
social mask of ego.. ego is what separates us from knowing our divinity.

Wanting, creates experiences of wanting. Have you heard of the Zen
concept
of attachments? Your attachment to being more clever, in itself would be
one of
the desires Kundalini would have you surrender, as part of the path of your
awakening.
   Know nothing, be everything.

:) I am very familiar with Reich's work, and I can tell you that
awakened
people do not need a machine to change the weather, if it is as Goddess Wills.
Orgone is Prana.. Prana can be used to clear some karmic blockages, and heal,
but it is nothing, compared to K-fire.

If it is awakening that you seek, that is very simple to achieve. I have a
website that is "charged" with Shakti, as Goddess wills, that has awakened
more
people than I could count. You can be awakened in 20 minutes, but that is only
the first step, on a long path. Shaktipat can be granted, via internet, if the
recipeint is ready. http://www.domin8rex.com/serpent/spirit/ground.htm
(It is copyrighted, you may visit it yourself, but you do not have my
consent to add it to your course program. )

Knock, and the door shall be opened, that is a cosmic promise.. awakening,
is easy.. but once it is opened, ... everything changes.. and you cannot begin
to comprehend how totally your world will change. The ego that tries to
comprehend, is not capable of comprehending the infinite. It has to get out of
the way. We cannot comprehend the infinite, but one the separation is cleared,
we can BE the infinite.. like Einstein *Being* a photon.
The changes in consciousness cannot be described in words, they can
only be
experienced. Trying to describe them, comes out sounding like "What is the
sound of one hand clapping".
My guidance said to me "Not fot nothing, will this be the hardest thing
you have ever done", and it was not exaggerating. At present, there is a
survey
going on, on the K-list, asking how many folks thought they were going
insane..
some scholars feel that if you don't think you have gone mad, at least once,
then you are not truly awakened. Many listmembers have spent time in the
mental
ward..
Those who are awakened are divided on whether it is a great blessing or a
terrible curse.. their opinion, mostly depends on how smooth their awakening
is.. and everyone who becomes awakened, spends some time feeling like it is a
curse.

There are some theories that state that ALL schizophrenia is wayward
K.

>
> 5. Is the Cosmic Cobra Breath alone an effective way to achieve Kundalini
> awakening?

These questions come, of not understanding the process. If you ae
meant to
be awakened, then you will be awakened, and it really doesn't matter what you
do. Most folks awaken spontaneously, "accidentally", but where Shakti is
concerned, there are no accidents.

>
> 6. How long would it take for someone who has never done any kind of yoga
> before, to achieve a Kundalini awakening?

Again, you don't understand the process.. most awakenings are
spontaneous.. but a smoother awakening, comes of some preparation. How much
preparation, depends on the individual. Awakening is easy, if it is not easy,
then it is as Goddess Wills.. the person is not truly ready to be awakened.
Trying to force the process, is a recipe for disaster. The ego that wants, is
resisting Divine Will.. and resistance is not a good idea. You really
underestimate the power of the force you are seeking to manipulate.

"The road to hell, is paved with Good intentions" ..
Robert Anton Wilson is awakened, Aliester Crowley sent several priestesses
to the mental ward.. he really did not understand Kundalini, at all. The FAQ
states very clearly that Kundalini can be dangerous. There is a warning on
every page of the website.

Those who seek to manifest their own will, and get what they want, are
better off with Prana-based yogas. Prana will do what you tell it to.
Kundalini
is only appropriate for those who are prepared to surrender their lives
totally
over to Divine Will. The directions are polarized, opposite. Stubborn people
who have a strong ego, suffer the worst with K.
The FAQ spells it out pretty clearly, you don't want to hear it. It states
that if you are looking to be healthy, wealthy and wise, then Kundalini
yoga is
not the path. If you want to surrender yourself utterly to Divine Will,
then it
is right for you.
You name artistic creativity as a positive side effect, without realizing
that any good artist, is a slave to their "muse".. they speak of being the
vessel of the art, a tool the art uses to manifest. Someone does not
become an
artist, because they want to, they only become an artist, if they are possesed
by their art and have no other option.
I usually don't like to give warnings, but the concept of someone who is
not experienced with K., not having been thru it themselves, and therefore
unable to help with the pitfalls of the path, setting other folks up for a
forced awakening is a really bad idea.
Many folks are unable to work, after awakening, the side effects of
emotional sentitivity and kriyas make them unable to hold onto their jobs.
Some
folks get illnesses like CFS, chemical sesitivities, etc. I suggest, before
you
pursue this path any further, that you join the list, and ask how many people
suffer from being unable to work due to hypersensitivity or illness as a
result
of their awakening, how many have been diagnosed as mentally ill, how many
have
had marriages and relationships crumble, and feel alienated from mainstream
society.
There is one phase of K. where many folks become suicidal, for heaven's
sake! Death comes courting, like a lover.. It is metpahorical for ego-death,
but those who don't know that can end up like the idiots of the "Heaven's
Gate"
cult.. not clear on the concept, and taking the metapahor literally..
