Dear Marion, Dan, Cheryl, Angelique, Ville (Hi Ville, I like your responses
so much), Lesley et al.

When one holds on to the concept of opposites one will NOT recover ONE's
reality.... full stop.

I quote various responses from you ppl. lower down. Notice how you are all
trying to come to terms with opposites as well as contradictions (which is
not the same). Opposites somehow always get us into a tiff. Why would that
be? Dualism is the greatest and oldest and worst philosophical conundrum.
Who has not tried to reconcile opposites and... failed? Reason is that the
idea of opposites is not a 'Physical Phenomenon'.
Opposites are a working hypothesis... It is probably one of the oldest
hypotheses in the history of philosophy. I bet you I could find something
about that in the dialogues of Socrates where he poses the hypothesis. I
read Plato's accounts of his meetings with Socrates when I was 18 or so, so
it is a bit hard to remember.

So... opposites do not exist in nature, one can NOT find physical evidence
of it...
Example: left and right are only signs (like + and -) of relational
positioning which is only true from one-and-only-one viewpoint and the
left/right relatedness changes as one moves through different dimensions.
Spin direction as in Quantum Electro Dynamics is even transcending the dogma
of relativity. Yin/Yang symbolism, as it is so clumsily depicted in the
usual 2 dimensional format tries to show that the yin is in the yang and
vice versa and forms Unity (the scientific meaning of the word). In Tibetan
art the Yin/Yang like symbol has three intertwining elements. I have even
seen an ancient object with four intertwining sperm shape features. The
Swastika depiction tries to show even more in 2 D. The shape of the
pentagram is a further philosophical attempt to undo the dogma of dualism
and in the 3 dimensional 'Star of David' further advances are made... ah
that geometry!!!
So in a way the progress in geometric symbolism shows us the progress in
philosophical discoveries away from duality and towards Multiplicity from
Unity.
In science one is now more fully embracing the gauge field theory. Ah, how
would I love to show you how this works, but I am afraid that I can not
attempt to use words to demonstrate this. When I show this in my talks I use
multi-strand strings and stir sticks and have ppl. pulling, skewing,
gyrating and torque-ing on seemingly one dimensional objects thereby
creating multidimensional space.
There is only "relationship" which flows forth from the 'One Original
Article' ("God Particle" as Ledermann calls it.) The 'Original Article' is
somehow able to create the appearance of space and time, individuality and
extent. (Richard Feynmann had something to say on this when he and John
Wheeler naughtily talked about the electron as the possible original and
unique particle.) In THIS space/time-slice you and me seem to be separate
beings, having different points of arrival and departure in space/time. (But
I will leave that alone for now.) Our difficulty to deal with the appearance
of space and time, individuality and extent ("being here now") has us
creating the illusion of opposites: separateness, hate, anger, darkness,
etc... all a result from treating a provisionally concept as reality. No
even more.. treating it as 'realer' than reality. We even conceptualized a
state of being for this: THE MIND... as though this mind is a physical
reality : our state of mind. It is not, the mind is at most a realm, an
imaginary modality, a non physical state of supposition and proposition.
>From that modality we produce all that mental work of conditionality that we
do on each other (if...then, etc.)
Why bringing this up on a list to do with Kundalini (that process that helps
us to recover our original self)...? Because without the realization that
upholding the concept of opposites is futile, we cannot recover and
recognize our original state, our SELF
So: no concepts... no conditionality and ... no opposition :-) :-) :-)

Love, Wim

Hate is love upside down

From: Cheryl Breisch <cbreischATnospamexpress-news.net>

Way back in my university days, I had a professor tell our class that
everybody thinks that hate and love are opposites, but that is not true.
They are completely separate emotions. One just has different levels of
love and hate at various times. So, You could hate and love someone at the
same time. What do you think?

I had a teacher in high school say that the opposite
of love is indifference. So also is the opposite of
hate.
I have never experience both love and hate for the
same person at the same time.

No, it is not.. as Danijel said, (something we agree on!! ) the
opposite of love is apathy. Hate, is a passionate emotion. You have to
really care about something, to invoke hatred, or anger.

 Who is buying into duality?

It doesn't really make a difference, does it? When it comes to the
activity of human brain, finding opposites to emotions is futile and
subject to change. Can we really take the "opposite" of a state of such a
system in a way we take the opposite of an integer? If we took the
complement (reverse the activity state of neurons from firing to passive &
vice verse), the opposite of love might be craving for the sausage that
Lord Vishnu is holding over the head of Donald Duck, and his wives called
Huey, Dewey and Sai Baba (or to put it otherwise, the brain is in an
"undefined" state).

So for me, unconditional love is always white energy.
The opposite of that is what I see as black. You can
make a person literally writhe or become furious when
they feel the white energy because it's often
literally pushing the negative energies out of them,
as Angelique has described before. And they feel that
happening, or the buildup inside them is so severe,
they have to explode to release it.
