Padre Pio continued to have bizarre K-related symptoms throughout his life.
The "terrible stomach problems" can be really fierce too! I've been hit by
episodes that have rivalled my spine pain at its worst. For over a year, I
couldn't eat anything but bananas, crackers and milk (and I don't really like
bananas, LOL). If I ate anything else, my stomach would get so
supernaturally hot it felt like it was going to burst into flames (much the
same as Gopi Krishna described of his ordeals). I had another 5 month
episode of horrendous hyperacidity that felt like my stomach and esophagus
were filled with Napalm. No dietary changes or natural remedies helped in
the slightest. I couldn't eat, sleep or do anything but roll around in agony
day and night until my doctor finally put me on high doses of Prilosec.
Still taking it now, at very low dosage.
