Rabindranath Tagore said:

" Serpentine demons are exhaling their venom everywhere. At this critical
juncture of human history, shall I still preach the gospel of peace. No,
my last clarion call is launch a pactless war against these demons."

Krisna was a vegetarian but he wasn't a wimp. Go ask Arjuna about that.

Lets be very clear about anti-exploitation sentiment and pro-universal
sentiment and how it applies to meat eating.

The need is for
philosophy and effort and consciousness through our practices to become
spiritual and hopefully eliminate the tendency. Morality is not the goal
since at any point in time ,
morality can waver too depending on the stakes at the moment. One can be
moral at $10,000 but when one is offered a $10 billion bribe or
opportunity,
one can change his or her mind. That's why spiritual liberation is the end
goal and morality is but the means.
