It's odd, but when I'm really 'spacey', in that really 'dstracted'
state, I DO LITTLE things like that, bumping into was, failing to notice
a down step and landing hard, etc, BUT, overall, I'm not often hurt in
that, and as to major things, driving, walking through traffic, etc,
it's weird, it's as if the whole world around me just kind of 'flows
around' me, making way for my as i go! I've had people comment in
amazement how I've driven through heavy, crazy traffic, calm and cool,
never having to hit my brakes hard or wait for an opening to change
lanes, it's just there when I need it, etc, like they and averyone else
is having to do. And my mind will be a million miles away at the time,
or I'll be chatting easily with a passenger, etc, not really paying much
conscious attention at all to what i'm doing. In that I sometimes feel
something like those sleepwalkers in dumb old slapstick movies walking
around through all kinds of dangerous situations, crossing tighropes
over gorges, etc, completely calm and oblivios to the danger around
them, and always making it back home and back to bed none the worse for
wear.

However, I HAVE observed in a few others i know periods of accident
proneness, involving injuries, usually minor, but sometimes major, and
have begun to sense a 'pattern', that it involves some 'change' they
need to make, or some change they HAVE made that they shouldn't have,
for their best interests, like it something meant to get their
attention, make them change course, or slow down, or something.
