There are many reasons to eat in vegetarian or semi-vegetarian manner.
There are health reasons and so on as well as ethical reasons or
protests against cruelty on those "animal farms".
My son is a vegetarian for ethical reasons. He doesn't wear anything of
leather as well, only synthetic or plant fibers. He is a vegetarian for
ethical reasons but he also doesn't hesitate to smack a spider or wasp
since they are a 'lower life form' without a highly evolved nervous
system.
I, on the other hand, eat meat occasionally and feel no guilt or loss of
ethics. I also will remove bugs from my house instead of just killing
'em.
Hey, they got lives too!
So, I guess I am just trying to say that while my diet is often entirely
meatless, I am definitely an omnivore but have no problems with
vegetarians. I'm a lot gentler than a lot of vegetarians I know. Unless,
of course, you try to take a juicy steak away from me!! Then, I
unsheathe my claws, bare my fangs and other cool stuff.
;)

Course you do!
