Just some thoughts for sharing:

I agree with you, Carl Jon, sex is both a basic
urge and an expression of a need for
close contact with another human being.

With a K activation,
both that urge and the need to be close
to someone and/or receive some kind of
non verbally expressed love can become very
strong.

Sometimes this happens due to old repressions,
old emotions or an increased boldness of
personality.... or both. :)

Many ppl have experienced sex drives
that they found disturbing for several
reasons.

My personal experience is that things do
pass, but until then, one makes choices
about what one wants to do.

Some time ago when I first joined the list,
someone mentioned a decreased ability to
separate emotions that were sexual with
emotions that usually would not be labeled
as such.

At that time I had no clue what he was
talking about,
to me sex was the drive and little else.

But with an active Kundalini,
emotions have become deepened and
expanded to a continuum.

I don4t know if this is something that
happens to all K-ites, but
for me, the urge for sex is strongly
connected with the need for self expression,
influencing the outer world and
sort of making a stand in relation to
others... type of 1st chakra issues.

But sex has also been about talking,
(talking can be very good sex ;) )
and communicating and expressing
non verbal love... plus it has been a lot
about making room, giving in, being
receptive, to K and others,
making love in the mind with others.

All throughout the K process I have lived
without a sexual partner and at times it4s
been, shall we say it, tough. ;)
But it has deepened and expanded
the emotions that I
previously regarded as being
purely sexual and puely about drive
and need.

>For instance, my experience with bisexual men >is that the sort of feeling he has expressed is >VERY common (even in these exact words!) when >they first decide to face up to the urge to be >sexual with other men.

:) An increased bisexuality is very common
with an active K.
One Indian guru, I don4t remember which one,
said that he during one period of his life
took a female name,
dressed in woman4s clothes and made
spiritual practice towards a male deity,
as a female.

Other K-ites on the list have mentioned
the same.

We had a discussion on the list some time
ago about this phenomenon and it seems to be
another of the healing processes
of K, to make one aware of the ranges of the
self and to help one accept these
sides.

As a result,
some ppl, including myself, do no longer
see themselves as purely male or female,
but both.

Thanks for sharing, Jon-Carl. :)

I find your experiences and views very interesting.

Best regards,

Amanda.
