On this topic, I don't know how others come by the names they use for
themselves, but my onw was actually 'given' to me, oddly, at the time,
quite some years before I knew anything about k or these related things.
It was a deeply moving experience, I was casually walking, reached down
and pcked up an ordinary small stone like billions of others on a beach,
and with my whole being, I 'heard it speak' to me, and I knew it was
telling me my name. My spiritual name. With it came some words, like a
little verse, explaining my name to me. At first, it didn't make sense,
as the stone seemed just a black stone, volcanic, but worn down smooth
oval by forces of nature. It was only later that I noticed that it is
embeeded throughout withtiny flecks of some crystaline material, making
it sparkle subtily in the light. The words that came were:
Tiny glints of light in the dark stone,
like tiny glints of light in the night sky,
beacons of light to navigate the dark sea.
Tiny glints of light in a dark world,
are the children of light.
The name it 'spoke' to me, and that I 'knew' was my name, is 'Daughter
of Light'. I had not even begun to know anything of 'awakenings' then,
didn't for some years. I still carry that stone close to my heart.
