Over-use of paracetamol can be bad for the kidneys. Aspirin is OK, I
think.

According to Thorwald Dethlefsen and Rudiger Dahlke MD, in their book,
"The Healing Power of Illness," kidney problems relate to problems with
partnership - our partners, and how we approach other people in general:
do we blame them for what's going on, or do we accept our projections?
Do we lean on them, or do we learn from them?

Conflicts with partners represent working on our shadows, anima/animus,
they say, as our partners represent such; total lack of conflict
represents lack of the appropriate work and so consequently a lack of
growth.

There's lots more in the book; ISBN 1-85230-123-6, published 1990 by
Element Books.
