`Somethin' 'Bout Lightning

strikes me odd.

Birth mother in the sky,
vibratin' at seven cycles per second
travels light speed,
tickling sensation
like a live wire from the void.

Chemical juice transmits feeling
and brain wave patterns
coursing through neural circuitry,
and flesh like slick fish.

Heart beats, beating.
Thump, thump.
Tuned to the lifeblood of electricity
flowing through our veins,
animated and alive.

Polarity charged and opposed,
attracts like opposites.

   ...seeking the path of least resistance.

(indulgently)

Electric lust,
electric storm creating...

transforming it all
back into invisible dust,

(vaporized)

I am lighting.
I am shock,

I am uncontainable essence
conducting this experiment with you.

Shooting from the vacuum of heaven
straight through earth
to the heat of hell.

(in no time)

streaking

   ...like ripples from a soul,
cast into a pond.
