Dear Martin,

I have some beautiful encounters with a Confuciionist professor. He can be
said to have reached "enlightenment" according to the standand that we have
seen in other cultures. But he did it thru a decision to lose his
self-esteem and self image totally, a Confucionist way. No Gods, no
spiritual leaders, just a single human's decision at the age of 25. I met
him when he was 40. I cannot describe him at all because he does not have a
certain personality trait clear enough to use it on him. I will write to
you or the list in a couple of weeks to talk about this.

Thanks for bring it up.

Reverence,
Jay
