Subject: [K-list] Weird childhood experiences
From:

On 1999/09/17 08:09, a list member posted thus to the K-list:

I am going to describe a recurring experience from my childhood, and
wonder if anyone has had anything similar (and whether it has been a
partial reason for my rapid spiritul development - Samadhi on the first
trip, K after few weeks of yoga).

When I was lying in bed, I sometimes felt that the silence was "screaming"
at me. It is almost impossible to explain, but the silence really was too
*loud*. I felt that I had to utter something, like "aha" or "oh well",
just to hear my own voice and break the silence. This happened often when
I had a fewer, or was just trying to get some sleep. I sometimes also lost
the sense of proportions: everything seemed so HUGE. I have a theory that
I have a genetical trait that makes me conscious while in a pseudo-sleep
trance. Me (and my family, both from father's and mother's side) has been
known to sleep-walk and sleep-talk, which are allegedly caused by the
occasional inability to get into the proper sleep-state.

I also have had similar experiences with k, especially in the beginning. I
don't have these experiences anymore, at least I can't remember the last
time I did.
