I have observed this also. Several of my close friends and colleagues
in their 40's who spent most of their time out of the body are now
dead. The thing they had in common was a strong yearning to be in
spirit and renounce the physical. Their bodies, of course, were
obliging, finding a way to obtain what their consciousness were
seeking.
