Subject: [K-list] Strange Vision Ramblings

Hi,

Over the last few weeks I've had a few strange visions. Three, I think,
although I only really began to notice "something was going on" with the
second and third and have no clear memory of the first.

These are unlike anything I've experienced before as the were not images on
the "mental projection" screen on the inside of my forehead. Rather they
were much more like alternate realities.

The second vision occurred as I sat at my computer. Suddenly, it seems, I
"snapped to" with the impression of having been looking at something other
than my computer screen. The vision was red and lined and remembered as
humanoid, as if I had been looking at a person without skin. Two thoughts
came to mind: Freddy Kruger and Kurukulla.

Since I don't frequent the movies my knowledge of and exposure to Freddy
Kruger is strictly peripheral. I suspect advertising images floating around
my mental continuum were thrust forward in an effort to make a cognitive
association between the world I had just been seeing and the one in which I
was physically sitting.

Kurukulla is a Buddhist deity, red in color. Since I often recite her mantra
it makes sense that if I were to encounter a red entity I would associate
Kurukulla with it until otherwise corrected. Since the vision I have had to
expand that association to also include Vajrayogini.

The third and latest vision occurred just yesterday. I was sitting on my bed
when I suddenly realized that I had been, again, looking at an alternate
reality. Again the vision was red and striated, as if a sheet of muscle.
This time there was no impression of form, just a red striated wall. Coming
back into this reality I noticed a twitching in my back. I had to wonder if
the twitching and the vision were somehow associated, perhaps some form of
healing happening?

As I said earlier, this sort of vision is new to me. Even when I used to use
"mind expanding" allies I never had the hallucinogenic experience in which
the critical mind is subdued and the perceiver entirely enters the alternate
world. This makes me wonder about the doorways that those experiments may
have opened.

So, we'll see what happens next!

Sarva Mangalam!
James
