Man's present miseries and sufferings, his pains and limited pleasures,
births and deaths are all due to his erroneous identification with five
sheaths-The food sheath, the vital sheath, the emotional /mental sheath, the
intellectual sheath and the bliss sheath- and Three bodies-the physical
body, the astral body and the causal body.

Food(body) sheath-birth, growth, decay and death
Vital sheath-hunger, thirst, heat, cold and such other sensations
Mental/emotional sheath-thinking, emotions, doubt, exhilaration, depression
etc.,
Intellectual sheath-intellectual achievements
Blissful sheath-striving for self-realization

Jnana Yoga which is a intellectual methods of disassociating with all the
sheaths.

The self is the In-dweller and body & mind are its reflections. The ego
experience is the reflected experience of the self. If it reflects through
the blissful sheath, one is a holy man. If it reflects through the
intellectual sheath, one is an Einstein. The individual ego depends on
limiting qualities, but the real self depends on nothing.

Pure self remains unacting, untouched and unchanging. It does not
participate in the experiences of existence, birth, death and
non-diescirmination. The knowledge I am Brahman can be possible only
through the agency of reflection. The self is neither good or bad, but the
limiting adjuncts create the problems of pain, suffering, birth and death.

Well said.
Every Sentient and insentient object in the universe has five
components-NAME, FORM, EXISTENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND BLISS. All things whether
animal, vegetable, or mineral, have these attributes, but it is the NAMES
AND FORMS that seems to differentiate them and set one thing apart from
another. NAME & FORM are impermanent and illusory, while EXISTENCE,
KNOWLEDGE AND BLISS ARE PERMANENT. Only man has the vehicle to realise that
what remains is EXISTENCE- KNOWLEDGE-BLISS or SAT-CHIT-ANANDA, the eternal
"I" which continues through many changes of name and form.

Ultimately, direct experience is necessary, for it is not a matter of
intellectual understanding. When the intellectual resources have been
completely drained, the goal is 99.99% reached. The 100% mark is direct
intuitive realisation.

On this pain/pleasure many have responded and I find it difficult to
acknowledge them individually. I wish to convey that I have enjoyed the
thoughts expressed and express to all a BIG THANK YOU.
