Hi sheila, you are welcome.

>I am very new to all this about kundalini and have not yet experienced it.

I am Gopal from Bangalore, India. Just over a month I have been exchanging
few of my thoughts on this K list. I enjoy being here. Hope you too would.

Books are plenty. You may just go through any one of them, but for k go for
books on Kundalini Yoga.

As far I am concerned generally I rely very less on literature. I lay
importance on myself and my keen analytical mind to observe nature and
reflect on the same. This process I started since I was 16 and still
continue.

You must have heard about the seven great blind men- WHY, WHAT, HOW, WHERE,
WHEN, WHOM AND WHICH. While one swims through the life in the realm of the
known or the unknown these seven men are always need to be used in greater
or lesser degree. While all the blind men are equally important in learning
& knowing, Why is the greatest of the great but which happens to be the most
ignored, least respected of the lot. Why is the important question, whether
it is for knowing of the unknown or the known.

Over the evolution process we have become experts in learning the art of not
asking why:

· We seldom ask "Why"---Why it is so ?
· A child entering the world brings with it many why
· As the child grows the number of why reduce, due to
a. Answer to why are not given
b. Elders themselves are not aware
c. Some why are embarassing-soon learnt-remains unasked
· Then the child feels proper & safe to walk on the same old path as others
did-Is it not easier that way ?
· The same trend continued at later stages and by then the mind is too
conditioned, hence no why are asked
· Without asking why mind doesn't grow, with the result the creative mind is
killed
· The creative mind is in the right hand side of the brain while the other
left hand side of the brain is used in the day to day activities

This message is a sort of intro.

Will look forward to your reply.

With love

Gopal
