This sounds like the minimalist definition of it. I always thought there was more to it than that, specifically performing miracles and doing other things in life. That's as best I can explain in one sentence, but read on and I'll explain why. . .

Side note:

I apologize for saying this, but so were Communists. There is evidence, too that Saddam is as well. . . and look how things are now.

Occult *technology*, eh? Ain't nothin' changed in two. . . three. . . four thousand years! ;-)
Unfortunately, some schools will teach that stuff along with the kundalini awakening that comes with the package, for the strict purpose of turning out folks like the Fuehrer. I can't see someone who goes through these rituals and stuff and comes out doing horrendous stuff to people being called an avatar. It's not just what you can do, it's the attitude that counts as well.

Not that I can say that engine of his should have started at all; that's not my call or anyone else's. It's just that once you got something new, what do you do with it then? It is this that people will look at more.

Well, these two I would consider avatars. And think about Martin Luther King, Jr., who started a movement toward bringing equal rights to all in the United States - a place where people still have to talk about things in terms of race (something he hoped would end someday), and he got his ideas on nonviolence from both of them. . .

I think people somehow expect so much out of the ideal miracle workers that they get caught up in things like senseless killing if they're not careful. . . and miss the smaller things that make life a whole lot easier. And when people see the miracles like the ones those three brought, there's always someone or some group around to take it away. As Angelique said, action -> reaction. Go figure.

Take what God gives you - and make worth a lot (not in terms of $$$). That's the miracle.

I will now go torch myself, just in case. . .
