Dear Larry,

There are a lot of experiences in your post that I relate to through my own
k activity. Sensitivity to everything is part of that. I also became
extremely sensitive to smell, and had the same experience of driving on the
highway and being bothered by the cigarette smoke of another driver, up the
road. Over the past 6 months I've become acutely sensitive to the smell of
anybody processing toxins or impurities. People who drink, even
moderately, have an odor the next day which I had never registered
before, but have become really sensitive to in recent months.

Before a wave of intense k activity I often get mouth sores, kanker sores,
as you described, and I used to also get really dry skin and splits in the
skin on my hands, as you described. I also get intense sensitivity to
sound and touch.

I feel like a baby sometimes, needing to withdraw to a safe quiet space to
adjust in silence to the new level of information, conciousness. Sometimes
this growth is also accompanied by changes in eating and drinking, although
I have not had the water need so drastically as you describe. But at times
I need to eat huge quantities of food, and can be ravenously hungry a few
hours later, and there is no weight gain at all through all this eating.
Earlier on in my k experience, there would also be days in a row where I
would eat nothing or one or two strange things only. Only oranges, or only
warm milk, were a couple of the strange diets which asserted themselves.

I think many of the people on this list have had the various body pressures
and discomforts you describe, as the k energy works that part of the body.
I hope you get some relevant feedback on that.

If you feel that "all hell breaks loose" through your meditation practices,
and these sensations are overwhelming some or a lot of the time, you may
want to suspend your meditation practices if you haven't already. For
myself, the K activity is way too accelerated if I practice meditation. I
practiced medtiation daily for 18 years until the k activity, but find I
can't anymore at all, or the things you described become so overwhelming I
can't function: I begin to get weak, miss work, etc.

A lot of people on the list have agreed that Gopi Krishna's book on his
kundalini experience isn't the best to read for someone in the early stages
of the awakening, because it is pretty frightening. At the same time, I
think you might find you relate to some of his experiences, and reading
that at this time may provide a little context for understanding what you
are going through. I wish you the best in this growth process, and look
forward to talking with you more--

Jill
