I find that certain types of club music, i.e. hardcore (a.k.a. "jungle",
"drum-n-bass"), house (techno, rave), do just as well. Put a CD or tape
into your stereo system at home or portable tape/disk player as you
cruise through the subway, and focus on the music and nothing else, and
you're pretty assured that you will be relaxed, if you're not totally
zoned out first. Not only that, if you do this long enough, the songs
linger in the head and are hard to get out.
I can't really re-create my own experience, as this kind of thing
happened to me when I was younger. So I'm not quite sure if the
Kundalini awakening came first, or the music, but I know that the music
simply ain't going anywhere.

No you did not sound preachy at all , you just sounded like a fellow path
follower that was sharing what she knew with me and I thank you for that. I
am beginning to see that I may have to lurk on the internet for a few
months. This is a good thing. The reason I am considering this is I think
it is time for me to take everything I have learnt deep inside of me and
learn each truth as it is meant to be. The time for questions is ending.
Now I have to take the answers and see what they mean to me. I'll still
post from time to time.....just not as much. Your words sounded a great
deal like truth to me. Thank you for sharing.

Sounds like a new one to me. I thought that "denser activities", i.e.
drinking alcoholic stuff, eating meat, exercising, were to help to keep
one grounded. But I do think that anything to excess is definitely
going to cause imbalances.

I'll tell you right now, when I had diabetes (I consider myself healed
from that now) that gave me more of reason not to drink - it was bad
enough back in those days that I had difficulty keeping balance when I
walk sometimes. A doctor told me that it could happen because of that
condition. One time I when I was at another college (before being
transfer to my current one) I was walking at night from the convenience
store back to my dorm, and a police officer stop and asking me if I were
drunk. I remembered what my doctor told me, and I went on my way. That
of course, may not fully explain, since I read something at a Web site
about the balancing difficulty to be a Kundalini sign.
To be sure, though, I'd rather not drink. Kundalini could be rebelling
against alcohol too, as it works to clean out the body. I think that's
what it's doing to me when I put too much sugar into my body. But then,
I need it sometimes to keep from zoning out at work.

Thank you for taking the time to share with me how you felt about this
subject and explaining to me what you , yourself have gone through. I
understood the points that you are making.
I tried to send my reply in private but it keeps bouncing back no matter
what way I try to do it. I understand what you mean by awareness but I
also understand what the others have been saying as well. I guess now what
I have to do is take everything that I have learnt in this subject within
myself now until I find the truth for me.
I thank you and everyone else who has taken the time to reply to a topic
that obviously makes many uncomfortable. I am blessed to have meet the
people that I have meet on the Internet.
