A few nights ago, while meditating, I all of a sudden experienced a surge of electricity going through my entire body. I was able to open an eyelid after about 15 seconds of effort. I may have also experienced this a night or two prior also, but just not as intense. I've had several 'unique' experiences the past three years, but this was something new and powerful. I had no feelings with this, such as intense love. I was alert the whole time and able to think and analize this as it happened. I now assume this is kundalini energy.

A few years ago, after getting some healing from a psychic, I began to get vibrations in my temples and sixth chakra. Sometimes they can be pretty intense. I have also felt energy in my right palm, lower legs (surface), penis, over my heart (which reminded me of a very small tornado), throat, and the top of my head. I also experience a lot of energy in my hands. Once, in the middle of my sleep last Sept. ('97) I awoke to my entire body vibrating for about 10 seconds. Lately, my feet have been hurting a lot (which I thought was because of my weight-248lbs) and I have a hard time remembering a sentence a minute after I've read it (which I chocked up to old age at 43). Also, the bottom has dropped out of my sex drive, which I also thought could be because I'm no spring chicken anymore, hummm.....

Last summer I had NO ambition, not to do a garden as usual, or even to mow the lawn. This year it seems everything is changing. I've mowed my acre twice in the past two weeks by hand and am planting a large garden and planting a lot of trees.

Does any of this sound like kundalini energy? I would appreciate any input.

Thank you, Mystress Angelique. I agree. And as I read this message of yours I
felt a fire stirring at the base of my spine.

Michele: Ah, klinical kundalini.... Sigh.

In a message dated 98-05-15 14:26:59 EDT, you write:
<< ... The second issue was retention. Harsha spoke of a 3-minute retention
and
pointed to Swami Rama's books where quite long (minutes to hours if I
read it right) retentions were discussed.....snip, snip

But when reading scientific research articles on the tummo practice I
found one interesting thing.... snip, snip

The tummo practitioners in one study did demonstrate the ability to raise
temperature - as much as 13 degrees Fahrenheit - I also followed up other
research on breath retention. Reducing oxygen consumption by 50% in an hour...
no published articles demonstrating...There have been two studies I have
found...20% oxygen reduction was realized. Another showed 50% reduction - but
certainly not total suspension ...snip, snip
 1) Does the subjective experience of suspension really entail stopping
breath...who debunked the yogi in a coffin scenario. I've mentioned the
results of ``scholarly'' scientific journals that I have found.... haven't
seen it mirrored in a scientific study Kurt

Pleasure/pain is same process. Both are extremes.
Balance is the key.
There one can see through the keyhole.

How well you know yourself is the real issue.

Hi melody,
It really surprises me that you want to know all aboutt
integration of conscious with unconscious and you don't

kundalini energy.

Well, I read books about Kundalini awakenings and that sounds Kundalini-ish.
It could meerly be that you are become aware of your energy -- or subtle
body, as some like to call it. But I, having almost no experience with
either, can't say for sure.

>A few years ago, after getting some healing from a psychic, I began to get
vibrations in my temples and sixth chakra. Sometimes they can be pretty
intense. I have also felt energy in my right palm, lower legs (surface),
penis, over my heart (which reminded me of a very small tornado), throat,
and the top of my head. I also experience a lot of energy in my hands. Once,
in the middle of my sleep last Sept. ('97) I awoke to my entire body
vibrating for about 10 seconds. Lately, my feet have been hurting a lot
(which I thought was because of my weight-248lbs) and I have a hard time
remembering a sentence a minute after I've read it (which I chocked up to
old age at 43). Also, the bottom has dropped out of my sex drive, which I
also thought could be because I'm no spring chicken anymore, hummm.....

Kundalini seems to be contagious, and it could be that the psychic was
K-awakened and intentionally or untentionally passed it on to you. I also
hear that either a significant increase or significant decrease in sexual
desire are symptoms of Kundalini activity.

>Last summer I had NO ambition, not to do a garden as usual, or even to mow
the lawn. This year it seems everything is changing. I've mowed my acre
twice in the past two weeks by hand and am planting a large garden and
planting a lot of trees.

I'm a procrastonator. I tend to have plenty of ambition, but don't seem to
have the energy or motivation to get what I want done. Sometimes, I have a
mood where the opposite is the case. Certain music can trigger that mood
(music from Warcraft I does it for me). Thinking about that mood can get me
in that mood. (It's happening now!) Sometimes, I'll try to do something
and actually finish what I start, and that will excite me, and the new
excitement will help me continue to work, and the new progress will make me
more exited, and I'll work even more, and that whole process will continue
until I'm in that mood.

I was working at K-Mart once, in the Garden Center. Sometimes we get
shipments of fertilizer in and we'll need to move piles and piles of bags of
fertilizer (20-30 lb. each, maybe). While I was carrying the bags, I got
into that mood. About halfway during the process of transporting all the
bags, my supervisor told me to take a break. I didn't want to -- as hard as
I was working, I had a huge *surplus* of energy. I felt like a freight
train traveling at full speed! I walked away from work that day thinking,
"Wow... Fucking wow... If only I could feel like that much more often..."

When I read autobiographies of people who are K-awakened, I see things
similar to that mood mentioned. I believe the definition of Kundalini on
the Kundalini Resource Center's Web site uses the phrase "an intense
libidinous source of energy", and that phrase applies to what I've
experienced. Does part of your experience sound like mine? It might be
Kundalini at work. Then again, it might not -- I've experienced that mood
more than once, but don't have any psychic powers or verbal/telepathic
communication goddesses (hence, probably no k-awakening)...

>Does any of this sound like kundalini energy? I would appreciate any input.

Maybe it does. I always appreciate input, too.

Those who are in no hurry never get there. :)
"Never rush" would be an interesting advice to give to Paramahamsa
Ramakrsna, when he took a knife to kill himself because he couldn't live
without his beloved Goddess anymore. Those who take their time never find
God. Only those who can no longer wait, find Him.

I have read an interesting story about that... a disciple asked his guru
why can't he see God. Guru said nothing. While they were having a bath in
the river, guru grabbed the disciple and pushed his head under the water.
The disciple was struggling for air, and when he was almost dead, guru
pulled him out, and asked him: "how great was your desire for air down
there?". "Enormous!!", answered the disciple, breathing deeply. "When your
desire for God becomes as great, you will without any doubt find Him", the
guru answered.

With both amazement and amusement I was reading the breath-retention times.
When I had a little (self-styled) practice of pranayama, the first thing I
observed was, that the breath-retention times could be more than doubled, if
I started by saturating the blood completely with oxygen through conscious
hyper-ventilation to the point where dizziness occurs. Without a properly
defined starting condition (hemoglobin content, saturation percentage),
retention times don't mean much. The major advantage of the practice for me
has been slowing down metabolism. As this has been achieved, my practice was
over, since breathing itself slowed down considerably. Early in the
practice, the heat of K. could be increased also and one process of "inner
alchemy" could only be done with the "extra" of retention.

Cultivate a nearness with me in the heart and it will be rewarded. Then
you too will acquire a fraction of that supreme love. This is a great chance.
Be confident that you will all be liberated. Know that you are saved. Many

If you're not sure, then find the source of the doubt and erradicate it.
That doubt is rooted in things that are not divine. You are free, of course
- if you are able to see yourself in freedom, attached only to God. It is
our choices that keep us in bondage. And since some of these things are not
easy to find and remove, drastic measures may be required at some times. :)
Are we saved? Do we choose salvation? ;)

Dear Paul
after reading many books about Him going to see Him Christmas 96 and
in a situation where people of all faiths and none (60,000 people)
were giving thanks for the birth of Jesus Christ. That is the
miracle. I and every one else saw Him teleport a bible out of thin
air ( borrowed from a museum )
that is not the miracle. His teachings are similar to Jesus. He says
he is God but so are you the only diference is he knows it we dont.
He says "if you cant have faith in God have faith in yourself its the
same thing"
What attracted me to Him is this I read in a book Come and see me and
go back home a better Christian Budist Moslem etc. I am of no
religion. Yes I would now say that I am a devotee of Sai Baba but a
poor one. I hope this does not cause you any offence as people can
naturally be a bit touchy about others belief. Read some books Paul
decide for your self, and yes I believe he is exactly who he says he
is, God Incarnate. You were always saved because you were never lost
to God. Bare in mind also I am a Scot and you know how skeptical we are.
Love Chris
Sai Ram
