Hello All! This is a most exquisite list! The great wisdom here has helped me in many ways to understand and honor the Kundalini we know
and love so well. I am deeply greatful.
I wanted to introduce myself and give a little background of my experiences with Kundalini. Well, let´s see… I´m 25, which really
doesn´t matter much, because in dog years I´d be dead. I began my study of the esoteric with Hawaiian Kahuna lore (shamanism),
specifically the lore of the Order of Kane (pronounced ‘Kah-nay´, meaning ‘spirit´). From there I branched off into everything and
anything that could catch my interest, i.e. Native American shamanism, soul retrieval, remote viewing, hemi-sync and light/sound
entrainment, trance dancing, pyramid energy, Kundalini, etc. I have just received basic certification in Pranic healing, taught using the
methods of Grand Master Choa Kok Sui. I am guided to meet with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar when he makes his appearance in D.C in June. I´ll post
the information on his schedule of workshops and retreats and locations if anyone is interested.
As for my namesake, Coyote (the fabled ‘Trickster´ in shamanic lore)
first nipped at me when a shamanic friend of mine caught him peeking over my shoulder. He told me that I ‘didn´t want him´ right now as
my totem (or power animal as they are known), because I was rejecting him in favor of an ego-produced Eagle or Owl spirit, which I thought
were ‘more suited´ to my personality and characteristics. I learned a valuable lesson that day – that one must strip away the mask to
realize the true face underneath. If one does not, then one will never see past the particular facade displayed. As for Dreamer, take
a guess – you are correct!
I have felt the influence of Kundalini for a few years now. I had no clue what was occuring until I found an article on Kundalini and began
my quest for further knowledge. I was guided to this list, although I have been lurking due to the hordes of mail that I have been scanning
through trying to play "catch up" for fear of missing even one gem of a post. I decided not to try to catch up anymore and instead jump
right in, intuition first.
Question: Can someone describe for me the various Samhadhi (please forgive the spelling if it is inaccurate) states/levels of
self-realization? Are there ‘signs´ that an individual state has been reached? Thank you so much!

Hi Melody,
I've been doing Mystress's grounding meditation since mid-February, & since Day 1, have felt what I believe to be k-energy moving thru me. The first
couple weeks, it felt akin to what I've read are hot flashes from menopause, setting my head "on fire"--altho' that stopped after two weeks. Since then,
I've kept up w/the meditation, and now I feel tingling sensations starting at my feet & moving upwards thru most of my body, w/the strongest sensations in
my arms. So that's my experience w/minimal meditation--Michele Date: Wed, 13 May 1998 22:08:00 -0400

I have never worn a turban, but you reminded me of something from my past:
Many years ago, I bought this hand knit woolen cap from the Salvation Army store in Cleveland. It was really simple, two colors of brown, sort of beigy
at the top half and brown on the bottom, nothing to recommend it and I don't even like brown as a color, so I am wondering now why I even bought it.
The thing was, I loved to wear that cap. It made me feel good every time I
put it on, I took it to college, called it my "thinking cap" and wore it while studying for tests. I never threw it away so I probably have it around the
house somewhere. I hope so, I would love to see it again, and I would love to pop it back on my head.
Obviously the cap didn't stimulate any acupuncture points, it didn't bind at
all, but something about it felt really nice. *sigh*
Thanks for the memory!

Kunastro Meditation is combination of Kundalini Yoga and Astrology.
Guru is most important both in Yoga Sadhana and Astrology as the most important benefic planet,Jupiter..
The technique is to find correct mantra with Jupiter's position in
natal chart and its element and matching with the element of the kundalini chakra, with its color, shape, bij mantra etc..
Compatible Mantra with a simple Mandala is used for meditation to get smooth result at body, mind and spirit level.

John: I'm gonna take a chance and add my two cents here. When I first read
Mystress's grounding 'meditation', I had been doing something similar, but instead of releasing it I was holding on to it. (as per the
instruction) Since I started releasing it, I have been feeling "ripples" in my stomach and chest, and occasionally heat on the back of my neck
and shoulders. It also causes a loss of 'distance'. I can reach out and touch *anything*. A most amazing sensation! Kinda makes me feel like
screamin. Kinda makes me feel nine foot tall and bullet-proof. It also invloves a profound connection with life. If I am silly enough to do it
around people, I just wanna give everyone I see a huge hug. I kinda like that part, I fall in love with everyone and everything.
Most seem to take this "stuff" quit serious. For me, being serious is VERY limiting, very fleeting. If I let it run with singing, dancing and
laughter it can last for hours. I can easily imagine it lasting for days or longer if I would only allow it. What a thought!
With love , light and laughter sweet Melody,
John :-)

Hi all on the k list,
Roberto sent this on to me so I thought I would jump in and say Hi to all of my old friends on the list. It has been a real exciting few
months here in the Greco home. Our three girls have come a long way and of all things...warfare with lice brought us all together as a family
unit to overcome the strange vibrations from infestation with this bug. These kids have lived with it most of their young lives and because of
this, the bugs were resistant to the medication. Savannah the five year old literally had blood spots all over her head and the back of her ears
were bright red. Sarah had it to a lesser degree and the oldest Shannon had it as well. So, we had to find new ways to fight this. And since
there is really little information out there on what to do I will pass it on to you in case someone on the list knows someone in this
experiece. Even the health department and schools are in major confusion since lice have become resistant to the traditional treatments.
My doctor had me use vaseline on the girls hair, after applying it pretty thick we put a shower cap on and left it on for about 30 hours.
Believe me, it is so icky that nothing can live with this. It does take care of the bugs it looks like, even though it is a lot of work to get
the gue out of the hair. And it is still hard to comb out the eggs but it is like all things, patience and persistance is what it takes. Quite
a growing lesson with this one for all of us. Just healing their heads has brought on a wonderful transformation in
them. I had never been exposed to this experience, believe me it is a hard one, since I had brushed the five year olds hair with my brush, I
got it as well. I got it very lightly however. When people know someone has lice, the thought form is so strong you would think it was a
plague. I can't blame them either because it is so contagous that it is something to avoid if at all possible.
In regards to the writing that Mystress shared, I agree it is the time for awareness to come through on kundalini. The real power of kundalini
is in its power to transform lives and individual circumstances. This bug experience is something that took weeks to deal with before we could
find out what to do to stop them, normal treatments didn't kill them when it should have. During this time I was working with it in my
dreams, learning and doing the work here in the house daily and cleaning them and everything in the house. It isn't just that they are in the
hair, once they have got hold, it is in everything, beds, carpet, clothes, car upholestery, toys...literally everything. I did 30 loads of
laundry the first day just to begin the process of getting rid of them. Because of the energy I had from focus, and the willingness each of us
had to do our part in breaking the infestation, it not only worked, but you can actually see and feel the difference in frequency as we all
worked together with that total focus from all five of us. This is motivation and soul intention. To put this power into the letting go
process spiritually would indeed change the consciousness of the mass mind.
The olive oil treatment is a little less drastic then the one we choose, so if you know someone with a light case then this will be
effective as well. I do hope you will pass the word on this since it is a health risk as well as a real negative energy for those individuals
caught up in it. Our kids told us that they have had it for years and each of them had their hair shaved more then once to try to get rid of
it. They learned not to tell anyone about it because of what would happen when they did, but doing this they were spreading it like crazy.
I would think many children in the schools are exposed to it on a daily bases. Write to me if anyone needs information since I know most people
don't want to talk about it.Gloria >

raise kundalini. Any opinions? ---------
Melody,
Asanas (postures) are to prepare the body for Kundalini's awakening,
meditation and mantra (along with diet, lifestyle, etc.) are to awaken Kundalini. It can happen in asana but is really rather rare.
As to those tapes... general answer: No way in hell! Complete answer:
Each of us has something that can spark a sleeping Kundalini to awake so it is possible but no more likely than a single sunset is and the sunset
is free and much more pleasing to look at.

Then for God's sake (and your own) don't try!!
Kundalini is not a toy. It can cause all manner of problems, it can honestly destroy your life as you know it and probably love it. If you
understand what it is, what it can do (it is the only way to attain enlightenment), and learn how to work with it you will find it the most
wonderful experience you will have in your life. If you don't learn about it and adapt to its needs all sorts of bad things can happen. I
personally know people whose health has been ruined as well as people who have spent time in mental hospitals all because of Kundalini run
wild in their bodies.
There are no certainties as to what it will and won't do but if you don't truly want it and don't already have it, I would advise you avoid
it completely. Note when I say that, raising Kundalini has been the goal of my life for well over a decade and was of interest for almost a
decade before that.
Namaste,
Joe

I visited this morning. I must admit, if I had been told *ahead* of time that the page was shakti-charged, I'd have passed it off.
Transmission of spiritual energy over the 'Net? Nah. In person, by physical objects, sure, but not by HTML. Well, in regards to
preconceptions, as the old song says, "another one bites the dust ..." I'm running out of 'em quickly (oh, well, what did they ever do for me
anyway? :-)
I felt something before the page started loading, primarily around the heart but extending out between the throat and solar plexus chakras. The
visualizations were clearer than most any I've had for a long time. And after visualizing the light going down to the Earth's core, the rest was
spontaneous - it all happened to me before I read any farther. And when I did read it, my experience compared almost exactly to what was written
on the page.
I had to stop writing for a few minutes back where I put "" - K on the rise - my spine is hot, my feet are still tingling, so are my
hands, my heart is - full? - and my head - well, imagine a migrane right behind the forehead, then replace the pain with something more pleasant
(not pleasure, exactly, or bliss, the word won't come). The computer screen is hard to focus on because the individual pixels stand out, and
auras are bright and clear, but things are settling down, just not getting less intense.
Words aren't coming, so I'm gonna sign off and just experience...
Good to be back...

Hi Faye!
When I speak of animal totems, I am refering to a component of
shamanism (are you familiar with shamanism? Not directly related to Kundalini, but I would be happy to explain it to you). Totems are
guides that we all commune with, although most do it subconsciously. In shamanic lore, Totems represent aspects of ourselves and lessons
that are coming to the fore. Totems change over the course of our lives, as one integrates their lessons and progresses. Some totems,
which are known as power animals, stay for one or many lifetimes. Power animals represent one's perception of life and the general angle
of interaction with others. For example, Praying Mantis represents the power of stillness, of acting with deliberation, and of simply
quieting the mind and just 'being'.

Harsha: This discussion was not about Kumbhaka. You made factually inaccurate statements about Milarepa and his Pranayama practices based on a lack of
knowledge. This was simply pointed out. If we make a mistake and acknowledge it, it does not diminish us in any way. One time my teacher's teacher scolded
all the monks when they rightly deserved it. Then he came to them in the middle of the night and woke them all up and said he was sorry. "Why, Guru
