It is very kind of you to actively participate in this list, El. Welcome Doctor.
I have had the opportunity and the pleasure of reading your web page and your
research on Kundalini, signs and symptoms about a year a half ago.
I was at work when I got the news from India , over the phone, of my father's
passing away. I can vividly recall the experience. I listened patiently about the
message. Immediately my heart stopped beating for a few minutes, I could feel the
pain physically welling from inside me , around the heart region. My legs were
shaking even though I was sitting on the chair. The secretary asked, what
happened, I briefly mentioned the news. My Manager came out, and immediately said
to go home, but I also had a lot of work to do. I simply said okay, and went to
the lunch room., had a cup of coffee, , tears rushing out with every breath. I sat
on a chair and meditated and prayed for the soul of my father. After about half an
hour I slowly calmed down, my body became normal, and memories of the past
flashed on my consciousness like thousand spores sprouting and popping
simultaneously. It was tremendous grief. I dod not try to suffocate it
intellectually, but felt it all , my body , my emotions, my thoughts, then after a
few days I totally regained my normalcy.
Then I was hit with another similar experience, when the husband of our Secretary
passed away in another eight months. I went to the funeral at the church, and
after the services, as we came out. I could feel Frank's (The secretary's
husband) soul touching me and I was so emotional and went through the same
grieving process as I underwent for my father.
Even watching the recent devastation in California and Florida, I went through the
same physiological and emotional experiences again. I don't think that I have any
sense of attachment with the devastation in Florida or California or even Frank,
personally, yet
I can feel and experience the same symptoms as if I have lost my dear ones. I feel
that, I get affected due to the fact that we are all connected These experiences
of grief from time to time has always reaffirmed the unity in us all, whether
related personally or not.
Similarly I also feel the rejoicing all through my body, when I happen to connect
with anyone's success in their lives. I do not know why this happens to me, all I
can say I experience it all.
El is right when she mentions:
" Without the capacity for grief, one cannot experience compassion. Detachment
without compassion is less than reptilian. In the West we are conditioned to keep
our heads and hearts separate, so there are often energy blockages in our necks
and shoulders.
If he had been able to allow himself to grief unashamedly, I suspect he would
have had less physiological reaction to his dog's final suffering and death. "

Hello to all :-)
>From what i read it seems, that we levitate when shatki is strong and blocks
want to open.
Could start a song saying something like "Relax to Shakti or you'll fly" we
fly anyway :-)
My experience of levitation is simple. Woke up in bed a few inch floating,
when i realized that, i really woke up from the shock of hitting ground lol.
Boy i think i'll remember that one all my life...
Definitely, from my experience, K awakening takes another another speed from
that point. I do not feeling it's a necessary step to go trough. Depends on
the person...
I'm curious still with the earthquake phenomena and making matter vibrate
under the chakra one. Or maybe the ability to fell earthquake coming this
way. Or just the skin over the chakra, mostly 1-2-3 vibrating like drums,
very fast.

While taking a walk in the garden with his group of friends
Shahanshah came across a fallen leaf and a seed from the tree talking to
each other.
LEAF..I LOVE this earth. I LOVE this air. I LOVE these sun rays.
This life is bliss. I am free to fly with the air. I have let go
myself. Life is SURRENDER I am so DEVOTED to this nature that I
want to become
one with it. For this no effort is reqd. I want to tell this
seed that let go, be free, put no effort or resistance and
you will become one with NATURE(SHIVA) thro pure BLISS.
SEED.. No my dear leaf, you are wrong. Do not get into this
emotion of
love. Put up an EFFORT. Embed in this earth. Resist this
violent and destructive nature and grow. Use your
CREATIVE INTELLIGENCE for survival against the forces of nature.
You have a great future. You have to grow from here to become
plant, then tree, then animal, then human being etc. etc.
ultimately to become GOD(SHAKTI), which is omnipotent, omniscient
and
omnipresent. You have to have COURAGE, PATIENCE and STRENGTH
to bear PAIN to survive against the cruel nature. Use your
WISDOM at every step.
Are not both right?
Have we not to search inside of ourselves whether we are born
leaf or seed?
Is anyone in agreement here?

Dear Antoine,
>I'm curious still with the earthquake phenomena and making matter vibrate

Back in 1991, while I was temporarily staying in Lima, Peru, I was meditating
on the 7th floor of a hotel when a Richter Grade 5 earthquake struck the
city. (Roberto, you may remember this one! ? June?). Initially, as the
trembles started, I thought I was just experiencing mega-shakti from my base
chakra, but Mother Nature soon disabused me of my fantasy and sent me running
to stand in a nearby doorway until the room had stopped twisting and turning!
On my return home, I found that whenever I started to 'get shakti', whether
seated in meditation or standing during a puja or whatever, the earth beneath
me would start to shake just like it had for me in Lima. I would literally
feel that I was being shaken around by an external force underneath me, to the
degree that I found it difficult to remain standing. This phenomenon continued
for several months, until I understood that what I was being taught was to
recognise the power of the one Universal Mother - that kundalini and Mother
Nature are one and the same! It was a superlative lesson :-)
With blessings,
Alan

What a lovely discussion to be party to!
It is the dharma of a leaf to blow with the wind and the dharma of a seed to
settle and grow. So both would be right in their appropriate time and context,
but both would be wrong otherwise . These two are at opposite ends of their
present cycle of manifestation.
Surely we all have both these aspects in us, but they are not mutually
exclusive: after all, a seed needs to surrender to Nature so that it may grow
properly :-)
With blessings,
Alan

When you where feeling this, did you feel that the vibration starting below you
body, wanted to reach like a "flow" of ripples, a place over the crown, like a
polarity wanting to depolarize using you as a channel?
One thing is for sure, the individual "ego" expands from this to encompass that of
Mother Nature :-)
Love
Antoine

Dear El and Jeff,
Truly there is no difference between feelings of pain and joy. As
feelings they get in the way of what is authentic, which is the nondual
Ultimate Reality.
Don't get me wrong. As an apparently living being, I love my family,
cats and friends, and those with whom I commune openly on a spiritual
level. I think of them all the time. Not necessily in that order.
(Wait a minute...yeah...in that order...)
But between great pain and great ecstatic joy there is no difference
when these are set against Ultimate Reality. Who amongst us hasn't known
physical, mental and emotional pain?
As well, I have experienced the sparkle and charm of prana throughout
the body (in some form of accompaniment to a kundalini experience), such
that I could stop neither glowing and smiling nor containing my ecstasy.
So what? I see no difference between the pain, the love and the ecstasy.
I just don't see it. It is all the same thing. And when the atmosphere
in which this sameness hums, is entered, that - and nothing else - is
enlightenment or the nondual reality. (Enlightenment is not the hum, not
what contributes to the hum.)
In fact, when prana sparkles in the course of an ecstasy experience, two
aspects of its nature become evident: (1) Prana is particulate, and (2)
at the core of each particle of prana is Grace itself or the Absolute
(Ultimate Reality).
The ecstatic feel of prana obstructs knowledge of its Absolute core. The
insult of pain does the same.
One hurts. One feels good. That's plain. And both are literally consumed
by the mechanism of consciousness itself. The sound of that mechanism of
consciousness is OM.
There is a real body of nondual literature out there and people who know
about nonduality. It is wholly relevant to anyone seeking to resolve the
question of suffering.
Perhaps visit my site, Nondualism of Umba Da Standing Free at
http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/umbada. Review my links and truly enter the
world of nondualism; it buffers the oft' teeming incoherences of
kundalini energy.
Respectfully,
Jerry Katz

Hiya All:
Coz not everybody reads all the posts, I thought I'd make another
announcement..
I found a listserv that offers free lists in exchange for adding 3 lines
of spam to the bottom of each post, and so I have created two new
specialized K-lists.. what the %$%# ? Seems like a good deal. Other than
the 3 lines of sig, the lists are spam-proofed by a very friendly autobot
that would not allow me to send a test post from any address but the one I
subscribed from, and they promise they won't resell your email addresses or
give them out.. and they have an auto un/subscribe page.. so they seem like
coollists..:)
I've had plenty 'o aliens show up in my mirror gazing, and it can't be
hallucination, because if I remember the feeling of the vibration, I can
pull them up and show them to anyone with an opened third eye.. which can
be fun at parties..
K. awakening symptoms and UFO abductions symptoms are the same.. so
either folks are mistaking K. for UFO's, or they're abducting us and waking
our K.
Things that make ya go Hmmmm...
It has always proven a pretty unpopular topic for the K-list tho.. so I
created k-ufo for folks interested in that sorta thing... I expect that
UFO's (sorry, Antares, Lightships..:) ) and ascension/descension seem to
all go together, so likely that new agey stuff will find some air there. I
find it resonant, but I try to stay in the moment and not get too caught up
in predictions that change as soon as they are spoken... even when they are
coming from my own guidance.
And creating that was quick and easy, so I also created k-faerie for the
pagan types.. like me, who have also had the Fey people and the devas
guiding our path. The Gaia connection..
Two shiny brand new specialized K-lists with nobody on them yet.. open
for new members.. be pretty quiet there, until there are some... (shrug)
Goddess provides..
Anyone interested in these topics can subscribe yourself to the new lists
at the coollist website..
http://www.coollist.com
For the Kundalini-UFO list type in
k-ufo
where it asks for the list name, and your email address, where it asks
for your email address.
For the Kundalini-Faerie list type in
k-faerie
where it asks for the list name, and your email address, where it asks
for your email address.
... and then there will be some test messages, as the members get used
to the system, and eventually another community of folks with a common
interest will form..
Hey, while I am at it, any other suggestions for new tribes? Mebbie a
K-yoni list.. :)

______________
Dear Sir, I wish to heva more inof on kundalini
Name: Amit Padgaonkar
Age : 27
I heard about Kundalini only a month back through the internet, although
i have experiencing it since the past 4 months.I had done REIKI(Japanese
method ) LEVEL 1 with the help of a guru in 1994.since then i have been
sporadically practicing it.BuT I experienced kundalini on 4 months back
Things that have changed are i got a good job, work scene is better,i
have been commuting a lot, life had become more active and last but not
least my sexual desires have augmented( I dont know whether this because
of age or kundaklini).
other part is their was some bad news with a close relative whch led to
emotional distress.
REIKI had been instrumental in invoking my chakras, their were times when
i lay on my bed my body would tremble because of chakras at the bottom
of my spine, now when before going to sleep i feel a chakra moving of my
heart(above solar plexus?).i do reiki to my chakras and other parts of
my body and i feel it has helped me a lot,i beleive my kundalini got
awakened because i started doing reiki to my medulla oblongata,(not the
chakra on the top of the head which is forbidden to touch)
now kundalini flows through my spine througout day and night i can feel
hot air going up and down sometimes on my face ,on the third eye.
and navel/ 2 inches below what we call 'hara'.
My personal feeling is that why i experienced is that i am a very
spiritual person,i used to read holy books since the age of 19,dont
smoke, dont drink, never indulged in any sexual activity till date, lead a
very simple life, never did and will cheat anyone, i like to serve people
like doing reiki, massaging or many times my advice has helped guide
lots of friends who felt lost
My hope from kundalini is to improve my eyesight( i have a severe
myopia),remove all fear ,remaining anger,control excessive desires,be
more energetic and positive in life. i do not want any material gains
from kundalini ,just to heal mind and body.
i expect this list to help me fufill my goals.
I stay on the east coast NY/NJ ,so would be interested to know any
programs to be held here.
Thanks
Amit

Dear list,
More answered that they practice Kundalini Yoga than any other meditation
tecnique.
However! since the sampling is only 4 people I don't quite think we can make
much of it : ))
In short:
Two practice Kundalini Yoga
Two practice individual style meditation. One of whom also practices TM.

body, wanted to reach like a "flow" of ripples, a place over the crown, like a
polarity wanting to depolarize using you as a channel?
No, the shaking was literally as though the earth/floor beneath my feet was
moving as in an earthquake. There was no rising effect athough I was also
feeling the K energy throughout my body at the time. I had no feeling like
that you describe.
Blessings,
Alan

Hi all, Gloria here...
I found a book I recommend for those of you looking into your dreaming
as a tool for working your interior process. It is called the Eagle's
Gift by Carlos Castaneda. This is the first book that talks about the
dream experience in the way I have experienced it. They call the clear
dream knowing as second attention, and this also helps bring into the
conscious mind self remembering. This book is paperback so it should be
easy to find.
Here is a little something from the book:
"In dreaming one has to use the same mechanisms of attention as in
everyday life, that our first attention had been taught to focus on the
items of the world with great force in order to turn the amorphous and
chacotic realm of perception into the orderly world of awareness.
The second attention served the function of a beckoner, a caller of
chances. The more it was exercised, the greater the possabilitiy of
getting the desired result. The function of attention in general a
function so taken for granted in our daily life that it has become
unnoticeable; if we encounter a fortuitous occurrence, we talk about it
in terms of accident or coincidence, rather than in terms of our
attention having beckoned the event.
This awareness of the second attention prepares the ground for another
key topic; the dreaming body. As a means of guiding, the individual was
given the task of immobilizing her second attention as steadily as she
could on the components of the feeling of flying in dreaming."
It is my experience that once an individual is consciously aware of
being soul/spirit and recognizes himself out of body in terms of
awareness, he/she will automatically understand the ability of the dream
body to work in this state in the invisible realm. Since we are no
longer bound to the earth with a body it is absolutely natural for the
dream body to move about freely, this is the term used as flying. When
the soul/spirit body knows itself it will move from place to place first
in flight, and then in later states of consciousness with a simple
thought or flash of awareness. This knowing forms the creative process
in the invisible realm that works its way down into the waking
experience through matter. This happening or experience is what Carlos
calls second attention, which is a very good understanding of it. The
key fact that creates the strong knowing or attention is intent. If you
look on my homepage you will see that I focus the soul intent as the
ingredient that empowers the whole awakening process. This is very
important and powerful awareness that can be achieved with soul focus on
accessing self remembering. Hope you find this helpful. Gloria

Well, fair friends,
The weather's improving here in New York and my personal kundalini energy
says my spiritual life will be better served being out in the fresh air than
sitting at the computer, so I bid you all adieu for now.
It's been a great experience sharing stories with you over the winter
months. I thought about staying on to follow threads I've enjoyed, but it
takes too long to sort through the entries and I've found myself pressing the
delete button more often than the read button lately.
Maybe I'll resubscribe in the fall when it's time to 'go inside' again.
All the best, Deb
