I have heard that along with outer bodies and minds, we have inner ones as well. That when we meditate and lose consciousness, all we really do is skip over into that next mind that we have no conscious connection to yet. You're not missing anything, the memory is there, it's just hidden because not everything is connected. I have heard it also suggested to use the lotus posture for the 'no-mind' stuff, as one is less likely to fall asleep. - Tim 2 Date: Thu, 28 Nov 1996 From: ori^ Subject: Purifying--Detox bath [was: Another K Question] Eileen wrote to TG: >Hi TG - >Looks like your meditation is "working" fine. Intuitively it seems that your body is attempting to clear and purify itself. Another means of assisting it might be through diet, increasing the amount of water you drink each day. And I found that bottled spring or well water worked even better. Also I was drawn to adding lemon quite often. Additionally trying a detox bath and using a natural bristle brush to help cleanse the skin can be of help. To hot bath water add: 1/2 c. sea salt 1/2 c. baking soda 1/2 c. epsom salts Relax in the bath for about 20 minutes, then rinse off in a shower. This really opens the pores. I especially try to do this after a massage/bodywork session, not only to wash off the oils used, but to open the pores to assist the toxins to flow out from within. It is interesting how this kundalini process seems to require an inner purification. I have felt guided from one technique to another, always being led to what it seems I need at just that time. A very simple, yet very neat little something I picked up a little while back: While meditating (specifically corpse position) -- try holding your fore arm uP. It's as simple as it sounds: bend it from the elbow, straight up. The hand can be loose, don't worry about it. It doesn't bother the meditation, as it stays balanced without requiring any conscious thought. However (and this is - where the neat part starts) - whenever you're about to lose it (slipping into unconsciousness/sleep), your hand will drop. And you will notice. And then it would be your conscious decision: Either your let it drop and go to sleep, or you pick it back up and try to continue meditating. And, of course, once you have control over that, you can ditch the technique. Good luck, and happy givings :) - Be mellow, Eran 5 Date: Fri, 29 Nov 1996 From: LwMema3ATNOSPAMaol.com Subject: Re: Energy messages how I send L&L Everyone, I do not know if this is the way others send energy with messages, but just writing the words Light and Love greats a great ball of light filled with endless love and it physically wraps the message (visually I see it doing this as I take the time to type those few words) and it seals it like wrapping paper around a gift box... so that when the message is read it opens up and extends to the reader... does that make sense? That is what works for me, and these days I sign just about everything Light and Love (unless it is for work then I have to go with the boring Sincerely...) Just thought you all might be interested to know how it works for one list member. So here is lots and lots of Light and Love to you all... enjoy!, Lori 6 Date: Fri, 29 Nov 1996 From: hyperATNOSPAMhmt.com (HyperMedia Technologies) Subject: Re: various-long message > my tongue, from root to center, has been >pushing up against the back of my throat and the roof of my mouth. It is a rather esoteric mudra. - As I understand it, the tongue is to be curled backwards up against the palate and the tip pushed into the upper throat region. A pool of nectar resides there. When a drop of is released it goes down the throat, has a minty cooling sensation, and covers the throat, esphagus and then down into the gastric yogic fire. As I understand it this nectar is eventually to be moved into the Ajna chakra and merged into the Sushumna when the Kundalini resides in that Chakra. I don't practice this mudra, but I have experienced the nectar many times during meditation. Some Yogis pull on their tongues to enlongate them so that they can do this mudra better. You might try pushing the tip of your tongue into the area that the center and root is trying to push into and see if that has any effect. - Do it during meditation. The itching is better today, but still there. Someone (from the K forum) said, when this occurred to them, they took a heavy duty antihistimine and that took care of it. Tried that last nite - it put me right to sleep...... Have you read about this somewhere or experienced this (the K itching would be preparing itself for increased circulation, etc........)?? I realize from what you said that you get the 'itchies' too, but did you see a difference afterwards within your own self? Anyway, sounds good to me.... xxxtg
