Subject: Digestive problems
Dear Jai, I was just reading your story on the examples page, and I
found lots of similarities. I too have digestive problems (ulcerative
colitis) and would like to visit with you about your experiences in
the mental hospital, because my experience was also memorable. Most of
the people who worked there had graduated from the same program that I
did. I have a masters in psychology, which made the situation even
more ironic. The highlight of my stay was the other patients, and I
got to create a Mandala with ceramic tiles and things. This came out
pretty neat. I am trying to figure out how to turn it into a more
stable work of art--once it no longer brings up such fresh memories of
the hospital. Please write. Thanks. Anne

Hello, Anne. What you have been experiencing is shared by many. Are you
familiar with Shared Transformation newsletter? It is just for people having
these experiences. You can get a free sample copy by writing to Sun Chariot
Press, PO Box 5562, Oakland, CA 946O5.They also have a Website on Internet:
http://users.aol.com/ckress/st.html. Also, if you are not familiar with
Spiritual Emergence Network (SEN) I can give you their address/phone. They
have listings of people around the country who are available to talk..people
who have had such experiences are called "Listeners," and there may be someone
near you. Your experiences sound very familiar to me, I had similar ones
during my first Kundalini experience...and the intensity of thoughts and
ideas seems to occur to many. I am one of those "listeners" for SEN here
in New York where I live and have talked with many people with similar
experience. There are a number of excellent books concerning Kundalini
and if You want the titles I will send. Love, Dorothy

I received this message last night by "accident." Does anyone see
a connection between this and the Kundalini's evolution of our species?

Here's something interesting, by the author of "Zen in the Art of Close
Encounters".
"The Institute for the Intensification of Non-Linear Intelligence (INLIT)
was established in 1988 as a (501)(c)(3) no-profit corporation. The New
Being Project (email gloveATNOSPAMwell.sf.ca.us) is a division of INLIT that
explores the possibility that our species may be headed into a rapid
evolutionary jump, one of comparable impact to the momentous leap from
anearobic to aerobic bacteria. We may even be at a juncture where we can
'invent' such a leap. NBP's present task is to identify and study people
who may be 'edgelings'; those who might give hints as to how to modify the
direction the leap takes. We may indeed become co-architects in evolution:
A radical venture indeed.
The paradoxical, mind-ravishing features of UFO contact may be paving
stones on the royal route to such a leap. Hence this book."

Anne, I join with the many others who have already said to hang in
there, as that is what was told me. Is it ever difficult. I spent all day
yesterday just moping around and crying all day and trying not to beat myself
up too much about it, and just to let it flow. Although I have not been in a
mental hospital, my sister threatened to put me there four years ago if I
didn't start to act "normal." Now I can laugh about it.
Not a week goes by that I don't
think, "I must be crazy," "I must be going insane," "This is ridiculous."
The thing is, so many people I know are going through the exact same thing.
Some of them are close to 40, some are not. Some have already had a
kundalini awakening. Some have not. But there seems to be the common thread
of depression, lethargy and a deep sense of sadness.
It seems like those of us who are psychic sponges are really getting hit
these days. A visualization technique I use is to surround myself with pyramids
of outfacing mirrors and a blue flame. the mirrored pyramids are used to
deflect any negativity away down into the blue flame, where it can be
transformed into a positive force of the universe. That's the first thing I
say when I get into my car and also when I get into a crowd of people such as
the shopping mall or grocery store. I just say "Mirrored Shields and Blue
Flame, please."
I also seem to have been praying A LOT that I may always go for the highest
thought, the highest feeling, the highest words and to please, please let me
be an instrument of the good of the universe.
I too have read The Liquid Light of Sex and it is a wonderful book about the
Uranus opposition time. If I was a betting women, I would also probably say
that you are also probably dealing with some other transits in your chart
that combined with the Uranus opposition is just about to put you in major
overload. A good astrologer might be of some help in sorting that out for
you.
I feel with all the similarities of the people on this mailing list who are
going through and have gone through similar experiences that everyone is on
the "front lines," so to speak, of the new consciousness coming into this
planet at a very fast rate, and that when the mass of humanity starts to feel
this and they are dropping like flies in the aisles of Wal-Mart, that you and
I and everyone on this mailing list are going to be there as planetary
helpers and healers to guide others through this. But to do that and do that
well, we must have experienced it ourselves. And from that experience comes
our empathy and compassion.
Knowing that we are not alone on this journey gives me great comfort and I am
truly grateful for all the souls on this mailing list. Thanks, Christine

Anne,
It was wonderful to read your posting. I am reminded of how I've felt before
and still do sometimes. A friend of mine ounce said something that I found very
comforting at the time; "Everyone has a fragile ego".
Conviction, trust, knowing.
Thanks to everyone who answered my musical question about feeling comfortable
with developing a talent (as *I* now understand my question! :-). It seems to
be quite important that everyone has some kind of talent through which they can
have intercourse with the divine (using those lower chakra's *and* the higher
ones :-). Personally I think everyone should have a pair of record decks in
their room but I'm very biased :-)

I just sent a message a few minutes ago without having read your
suggestions for info to include in my message.
Name: Arjun Jay
Age:26
I first became aware of kundalini in my life about six years ago when I
would, on occasion, feel incipient pranic rays shoot up my spine. It was
at about this time that I began my practice of Hatha yoga.
Much has changed in my life, especially in the past year as I have
greatly intensified my meditation practices. I am now much more aware of
the nature of existence, my sensitivities have greatly increased, and I
have had a number of experiences including having my shakti rise from the
base of my spine and carry me through the Brahman gate into the astral
plane.
The practice that I have found most useful in trying to tame the
kundalini is that of chanting the Gayatri japam while concentrating on
the ajna chakra. After achieving some facility with this practice, one
can actually feel the action of the chakras at both the base of the spine
as well as between the eyebrows. In one sense, the ajna chakra has been
the most difficult for me to awaken as I find that the mind is actually
trying to concentrate upon itself.
I am not currently involved in any service to others as I am doing my
Ph.d. and between that and my meditation, I have little time for other
things. But once I get settled in life, I plan to go back to my
homeland, India, and engage in service there.
By taking part in the kundalini list, I am hoping to get a sense of what
others who have aroused the kundalini experience in their daily lives. I
find that some of the experiences about which I read in books I simply
have not experienced in my own life. For example, I in no way
experienced the same magnitude of pain and torture about which Gopi
Krishna wrote in his books.

Having served on various committees, I have drawn
up a list of rules: Never arrive on time; this stamps you as a
beginner. Don't say anything until the meeting is half over; this
stamps you as being wise. Be as vague as possible; this avoids
irritating the others. When in doubt, suggest that a subcommittee
be appointed. Be the first to move for adjournment: this will make
you popular; it's what everyone is waiting for.

Welcome to the list. I agree. It is time to thank Gopi Krishna for his
contribution and yet to stop seeing his experience as typical, or his pains
as necessary to the experience. I think our list contains a variey of points
of view on this and yours is, of course, welcome.

There has never was any doubt in my mind that the human beings are ready to
make a quantum leap in consciousness. The Internet will be the instrument
that will complete the activation.
There is no paradox concerning the UFO's as they are all here waiting.
After all we are their experiments anyway . The crop circles and animal
mutilations going on right now in every spot of the earth are indications
showing that the experiment is just about complete. Don't believe me just do
your own research.
Just a few short years ago I would say a person was crazy if they talked like
this, but the evidents are just to strong to think otherwise.
I was just studying Egyptian art. Did you know that Akhenaton, Ramses 11,
Queen Merit-Amun,Osiris, Isis, Horus an even the sphinx all have the symbol
of the kunadalini awakening on their third eye? The pyramids are now
believed to have been built many thousands of years early. To just give you
a hint about the reasons that science as always been pretty much consistent
with accepted theories. Because the scientist are always working with
government grants. They must do the things that the government approves of
or they will not get any more new grants. If for example a scientist made a
startling discovery that something was not 15,000 years old as the science
community believed, but really 600,000 years old. If the scientist
insisted that he or she could back up the claim with proof. Guess what? The
scientist would get fired immediately. It all comes down to grants. This is
how it works. The crop circles for example are not here for the government,
but are here for the average person. As I said in the past, what else can
these other beings do? One of the main reasons for it is just the
activation of the quantum leap in consciousness.

Subject: depression
This week's postings on depression (as opposed to sex!) have been
helpful in reminding me that loosening the grip of ego and opening
receptivity to the world is not painless. But what takes me by
surprise often are waves of anger that seem to be related to awakening
as well. Certainly confronts my ego-need to see myself as a
compassionate person! Sometimes hostility pops up out of nowhere and
it seems to be somewhat separate from those puddles of boring,
righteous anger left over from personal history. Anybody have any
useful ideas about this?

There have been other motivations as well. Tesla was ridiculed and
persecuted because he was working on free electric power for the masses. It
would have been quite easy to do. The industrialists of the time were
appalled by his plans. They wanted to make their fortunes doling the stuff
out at metered rates...and they did. Still do.
Interesting planet, don't you think?

I have not experienced this. Perhaps it is energy that needs channeling in
other directions. Remember Jesus with the fig tree? Frustration? Jesus
with the money changers? A different kind of righteousness?
We have seen a bit of anger on this list - from people who indicate that
they are very awakened and have much to tell the rest of us. Perhaps they
have some clues for you.

Thanks for the reply. I know that I sound really weird a lot, but I think
people should be stimulated. In the mind of course! Guess I get bored very
easy in life. I love these strange things like the UFO's. You said "
Interesting planet, don't you think?" Yes it is really very interesting.
There is so much going on that we humans can not see. Even a dog or cat can
see a lot more than us.
It was interesting about Tesla and working by metered rate. I didn't think
about that. Good point.
This brought up another interesting thing, but it is not related to our
story. Do you know why the typewriter keys are arranged in such a way? If
you really don't know then I'll give you a hint. Re-read what you wrote
above about Tesla and that's the key.
Let me know or anyone.

Von, I have researched and written about the subject since 1990. I had
my own encounter in '92.
I agree with every single point in your post -- both in personal
experience and in independent research. I didn't much like being a
guinea pig at first, but there is something noble about it.
I writing a book now on the subject of mysteries and how some (not all)
scientists have misinterpreted or misrepresented facts in order to
keep their status quo. NOT! The Truth will out sooner or later.
Thanks for your comments.
