Date: Thu, 6 Jun kundalini-l-d Digest Volume 96 : Issue 3 [1]: From: CKRESSATNOSPAMaol.com Subject: Post to Kundalini list Hello! I am El Collie, co-creator of Shared Transformation Web pages and editor of the Kundalini support newsletter of the same name. My Kundalini spontaneously erupted in 1991 and has been continuously active, 24-hrs-a-day, ever since. I was not doing any meditation or yoga practices at the time (although I had done both at previous points in my life). Nor have I done any deliberate practices of this kind since my Kundalini awakened, although I have experienced periods of spontaneous meditation and automatic yoga postures when the energy is extremely active. I am aware of several cases where the individual was so overwhelmed with Kundalini manifestations he/she successfully prayed or used his/her will to shut down the process. In the cases I know about, Kundalini again arose naturally at a later time in the person's life when they were better able to cope with it. Since my personal awakening has its own constant momentum, there is nothing I do to keep it going or turn up the volume, so to speak. However, I have prayed throughout. I also do japa (repeating the name of God) and I relate to Kundalini as a beautiful Goddess who has come to awaken me. I have learned that these approaches -- prayer, japa (or mantra chanting), and regarding Kundalini as a benevolent, loving Goddess -- are frequently advised by Eastern masters, who say these things will keep Kundalini energies moving in a safe, productive way. For me, these were a natural way of connecting to the Spirit. I did not consider them "practices" until I read them being described as such years after my Kundalini was going strong. Quite a few teachers also recommend these as the only safe way to rekindle or to initiate Kundalini awakening. Realizing the energies and transcendent experiences are gifts from the Spirit (or from the Universe, if you prefer) has enabled me and others who have this kind of faith as their "center" to open up to extraordinary sensations and mystical states without fear. I find that people who experiment with Kundalini (or who experience involuntary awakening) without awareness and trust in a loving "behind the scenes" Spiritual power are much more likely to panic when things get intense. Even with trust and reverence for Kundalini, some phases of the process are harrowing. For me, the greatest difficulty so far has been a spine injury in '93, complicated by (but not, I believe, caused by) active Kundalini. For a year and a half, I was totally bedridden in nonstop agonizing pain. I am still in chronic pain, but at a much more bearable level. I have also learned a great deal about myself and my path during this period of severely imposed "down time," and belatedly realized my nature was such that I required something this disabling to get me to slow down. (I had always been a workaholic.) Re: the questions Richard posed I have spent my life engaged in service of some sort or other, beginning around age six when I looked after my younger brother and sister. I suspect it has been this history of service combined with my lifelong quest for knowledge and understanding of existence that made me ripe for natural Kundalini awakening. I am very glad this new Kundalini mailing list has been created. As I and many others have discovered through our communications in ST newsletter and Web pages, there is always more to learn, more to explore, more to share with those who are fellow travelers on this great journey of expanding consciousness! Thank you Richard, thank you Melissa, thank everyone who has come together to help us all in this vital way. Sincerely, El Collie

Essentially kundalini is a potent life force that lays dormant at the base of the spine until the right circumstances wake it up. You are oviously beginning to look into it on a spiritual level. The three weeks and forever appear to be time frames, which the forever came from you, and the three weeks from the man in the dream. Once you awaken kundalini however, it is with you forever. It likely started moving at the three weeks point, and will continue forever providing you are prepared for the awakening. Great dream! Have you been having any energies moving in your body that are distinctly different then before? Hot, cold, tingling, numbness, waves of energy, even dizziness or shaking. All of these things can happen during the waking of the kundalini. It is pictured as a snake because it is curled at the base of the spine, and when it starts to move there is even a sensation of movement much like a snake would do. This changes with time, but it is always interesting and requires utmost respect and inner discipline. If you have questions send them on. Gloria Joy Greco. My reply to the man was "for the rest of our lives" and not "forever". This came to me after I sent the post. I also remembered one other small part. As I added the 'for the rest of our lives' onto the end of the "We are Kundalini" I went to embrace him and it was then that he held up his finger and told me to wait 3 weeks. For as long as I can remember, I've had an interest in unusual things. I remember as a child, reading books on UFO's and even Transendental Meditation. I always felt like an 'oddball' and like I never truly fit in anywhere. At one time it bothered me but it never kept me from delving into the unknown and seeking answers to my seemingly endless supply of questions. > dream. There are times when I will begin limping and it will come on strong and then subside as quickly. I've experienced some numbness in my hands from time to time and I've also had some tingling sensations begin in my hands and travel up the full length of my arm. There have been a few occasions when this tingle just continued on throughout my entire body. I've also noticed a tiny bit of shaking in my hand from time to time but it never lasts very long. I'm very thankful that this is available and that there are those of you out there who have had these experiences. It's nice to be able to talk about it with people who have understanding. Thank you for your response. Blessed Be Debee
[4]: From: vetfindATNOSPAMinteraccess.com (Judy Kavanaugh) Subject: kundalini awakening Hi, Many thanks to all who are participating in the discussion list. As you all probably know, it is very difficult to find information about kundalini and even harder to find kindred souls who either have gone through this or are currently going through it. It is very reassuring to know that there are others out there who truly understand the ups and downs of kundalini. I am very new to kundalini. I first experienced kundalini when in the mountains tying to get my spiritual cards in order and decided that since I still had no answers to my lifelong questions that the best avenue would be to surrender totally to God and the higher powers. I was not doing much serious meditation at the time and still don't do much of the heavy duty stuff, just what comes naturally. I do remember praying, or meditating, or talking to God or whoever would listen and all of a sudden I felt the energy begin in my feet. At the time, it was hardly unpleasant, just a kind of curious feeling that I paid little attention to. As time went on, the energy grew stronger and before long, I began to put the pieces together and knew it was kundalini energy. I have never had incapacitating symptoms but there is not a day that goes by that I am not aware of kundalini. It makes itself known through back pain, constant tingling and prickling sensations everywhere and sensations of heat leading me to think I could cook any given meal on the surface of my skin. No matter what the symptom of the day, I have chosen to look at each as a reminder that something wondrous is happening and that I am experiencing something still relatively rare and no matter how annoyed I become with what is going on, it is still a gift. I have been service oriented most of my life and have tried to follow a life of compassion no matter who I meet. Now I am more convinced that this is the only way to work with kundalini. I have also found that whenever I become irritated with the kundalini manifestations, if I stop and remember to surrender to the process, the symptoms ease considerably. It seems that the resistance to the process only makes things worse and much harder to bear. One of the things that has helped me the most was the information that I received from the newsletter put out by El Collie in Shared Transformation. I would strongly recommend that everyone subscribe to that newsletter to become more informed, especially the issue that tells about symptoms. It starts to make so much sense when you know that you are not really neurotic and your pains are not in your mind but rather the result of something incredibly transforming. Most of us will never be the same as we go through this, but I suspect that the changes right now are just the beginning of something truly magnificent for all of us and those we touch in our daily lives. [5]: From: kentATNOSPAMgatezone.com (Spark) Subject: kunda-spam Hi folks, I'm very grateful that Richard initiated this list, and to participate in sharing and 'listening' to other's experiences. Call me a grouch, but I'm not interested in receiving irrelevant 'stuff' about every imaginable x-file sort of thing just because I subscribe to the kundalini list. UFO presidential candidates, 'yeti' expedition fundraising etc. I'd be grateful if people wouldn't spam me with stuff like the following two items... I'm very open to being asked if I'm interested, or if it's good enough to send to the whole list I'm happy to deal with that as a member of the list. Just a little 'housekeeping' as we get started. thanks in advance, kent Private Communication GateZone Communications ___________________________ Internet, network, database tools, and the training to make them work for you and your organization. ___________________________ Kent Livingston kentATNOSPAMgatezone.com 512.443.8855
[6]: From: Jim Cook Subject: A Short Biography Hi Everyone, And, Thank you Richard for making this Mailing list possible. My name is Jim Cook Sex - Male I am 48 years old. Born, Dec 16, 1947 in Boston, Mass. I have five brothers and one sister. My father was in the military so we did a lot of traveling thruout the world. I now live in Petaluma, Calif. with my five cats. My hobbies are - Photography, Painting with oils and watercolors, Ceramics, Silk Screen, Organic Gardening. I have been a member of The Self Realization Fellowship For five years now. I became aware of my Kundalini awakening three years ago while doing "Raja Yoga" processes. I have never experienced any bad manifistations from the Awakening. I have experienced ,increased energy. Usually too much. Better intuition. I can sometimes know a lot about about someone just by looking at them. This is not a continual gift though. It comes and goes. I discovered that inorder to know someone elses thought, I have to become that person. Greater artistic abilities. Before the Awakening, I never had a talent for writing poetry or Haiku. Now I get inspirations almost everyday. I've also become a vegetarian because, the smell at the meat department is too nauseating. I've been given a lot more gifts which I will write about later. Since I was twelve years old, I have always had an extreme interest in Zen Buddhism. I read somewhere, a Zen Master once said, " There is a cave where a dragon lives. For one to become enlightend, one must enter the cave and get past the dragon". For many years I wondered, what in the world does this mean ? Now I know who the dragon is. Bye for now, Jim Cook
[7]: From: GgjiATNOSPAMaol.com Subject: Re: Post to Kundalini list Ed, It sounds like you have come to an acceptance that you have to work with this energy in your body in a positive way. Once it is going as yours is, then it is necessary to move into acceptance and ride the wave. I have a saying that for me describes much in life, learn to move with the lifeforce that is carrying you, when things are not going your way, its ok, tuck and roll. This is what I call tucking and rolling, because you have no control on what the energy is going to do, or when it is will finish the release. There are certain things that I've found works well. The first is aligning your will with divine will. By this, I mean, not to manipulate or to control your life, but to sincerely ask for God to come in and direct all things. This takes the pressure off completely because you move into total acceptance, the other is: Recognize the weak places in the body, for instance, if your having back problems, it is a weak spot, (I've had 3 back surgeries) so rather then stop activities, etc. I've reinforced that spot through asking what I need to do from within. I was told to create my own exercise that would be right for me. I did that and I am the strongest I've ever been. But, I have exercised everyday with exceptions of maybe 50 days, for the past 4 years. That has helped tremendously because I've also released a lot of energy doing it. The other thing is to work getting the toxins out of your body. Keep your colon clean. If you have toxins in your body you are going to get headache's. It's that simple, I know if I have toxins by the way my head feels. I know what I have to do immediately. Once the colon is clear the headache is gone. Hope this helps. Gloria Joy Greco GgjiATNOSPAMaol.com By the way, I've had kundalini active 24 hours a day for most of my life. My energy now sits in my crown chakra all the time, I move it to work with divine will. Most of the kundalini at this point sprays out the top of the head. God Bless
[8]: From: GgjiATNOSPAMaol.com Subject: Re: kundalini awakening Judy, Hi, I'm Gloria Greco. It sounds like your attitude is right on for moving into a natural awakening. The more you align yourself with God's Will for you, the easier it will be. If your body is pretty balanced there is no reason to think there will be any major problems. I always encourage those I meet to remove all anxiety, worry and fear. These are a deadly combination when a person is going to wake up the sleeping dragon. So, for you I'd say. Don't push it at all. Don't try to increase the energy moving, and don't try to controll anything. Let go and let God is the perfect understanding to build the foundation for the thrilling ride you are about to undertake. My experiences are with Richard, if you have trouble getting it, my home page is http://www.inetworld.com/lodpress/ I am 50 now and have become one with the energy in my body, because it has been absorbed into my chakra, opened up new ones, and continued on to the 8, 9, and 10th chakra above the head. These centers only manifest when you are directly working with the LIMITLESS LIGHT and have a direct assignment to do. Don't mess with those, just work within. The second book I'm doing is on meditation and each chakra, I've worked with a group here in Reno for nearly 30 years. They are moving very steady and easy, I'm sharing this for the first time. God Bless

Now, I'm not an expert on kundalini, I don't thing Richard is, nor am I convinced that you are, but I did want to share that it seems that your responses to these people's postings are taking on a "Dear Georgia" feel, as if they are asking you for your interpretation about what it all means. Perhaps they are, I don't know, but I kind of think they are simply sharing a part of themselves unconditionally for others to read and think about. Personally I read what other people have experienced, factor in their thoughts and feelings into my own background and experiences, and take a step back to see how it fits with me personally. I don't feel a drive to explain it all for them, but just to let it be, unless they specifically ask for feedback. As I read your reply to each of them, which states like fact rather than opinion, I find myself wanting to say, "No, Gloria, that's not it at all!" I do agree with some of what you say, but not all -- and I think that's true for each of us. This fresh, new kundalini list has great potential as a forum for people to share. Perhaps it would be more approprate to start a "kundalini-a" list for advice, which you could host. Then people could seek your answers as to what it all means. May I suggest that , if you really do want to explain these experiences to the people who post, that you reply directly to them, and not back to the list? I think we are all pretty clear where you are coming from from what you have sent so far, and I applaud your candid, open nature. I think there will be more free feeling of expression by the "lurkers" out there if we don't see a reply from you to each and every post trying to put their experiences in a box defined by your experiences. Perhaps we learn more by simply listening, rather than speaking. Time will tell.... Aloha Nui Loa, Bill
